So excited for my favorite time of year. Christmas shopping is underway, cannot wait for the public decorations to be on display. Our Christmas tree is going up much earlier. It will be the backdrop for Thanksgiving dinner as we need some extra weeks of holiday cheer this year.

I say every year I will be prepared this year for Christmas. With so many pretty Quilts to make how is that possible.

The family tradition of putting up the Christmas tree is usually the day after Thanksgiving. The drawing is to be the day after my birthday. Again, congratulations on 8.17k subscribers. While my daughter was growing up, Christmas decorations were up all year and some of the musical ones were played daily to remind everyone what the season was and to carry it through the year. Now it means the birth of my dad in heaven as my daughter told the family and for us not to be sad but to rejoice.

Congratulations on the 8.17K subscribers. The pillow turned out awesome. I don't comment much as I was a 24/7 caregiver-my job is about over, so I can start getting my fabric out to quilt.

Christmas is my favorite holiday of the year because my 3 boys and their families all try to get together. This year will be different though. One son moved just recently; the next has an in-law living with; the youngest son’s wife has work obligations. So we’ll go to them this year. A tree may or may not happen at my house, but there will be a tree at each of theirs. So happy dance for us.

I just bought a layer cake so I can make one of these! Love the prints!

I haven't put up my Christmas tree but I have started putting out my Christmas quilts out getting excited for all the holidays coming up.

We have a traditional Thanksgiving at our house, so the Christmas tree goes up the first week od December. I loveto decorate for the holidays.
