How do you get your kick drum to sound like that? Is the the tuning?paddle?Or patch?
@bigbogh
@bigbogh 13 күн бұрын
Very low tuning, the drum head is just above wrinkles. Remo kick patch that enhances the click sound + a plastic beater

It sounds like it’s set to the notes a guitar in standard tuning uses (or they’re at least the relative intervals apart, I don’t have perfect pitch so I can’t tell if they’re actually tuned to E or not), but if you started from the thinnest, high E string and worked your way up. Well, that’s exactly what it sounds like to me anyway.

Hey man, loving the sound but curious if you had difficulty mounting the tunebot to the rims with the S-hoop design? Seems like the S hoop won't allow the tunebot to sit properly, which is what is holding me back from upgrading...
@bigbogh
@bigbogh 2 ай бұрын
Hello man, thanks man, it holds fine but I prefer to hold the tune-bot woth my own hand and go over each lug with the stick in one hand and the tune bot in the other. My main problem with the S-hoops was in mounting microphones to the rim
@DoubleD_93
@DoubleD_93 2 ай бұрын
@@bigbogh gotcha. Yes, I try to do that for the larger drums too because it is so sensitive but the tone and bearing edge protection seems to be a great idea with these S hoops. Regarding the microphone mount, I've heard people cutting up old rims and using them as risers for microphones. Just need a longer tension rod and a plastic spacer between...

Hi. Can you help me with another question? My Falcon is the previous model (with the tiny logo) and it came with two cams: one rounded, silver painted, and one oblong, black, nicknamed "pursuit". I know that the actual model (yours) doesn't comes with those anymore, having just a black cam. But the informations I had from some dealers were confusing about the shape of this cam, so I decided to ask to an owner. Is it oblong, like the old "pursuit" cam, or is it perfectly rounded, like the old silver cam, instead of the black painting?
@bigbogh

Did you noticed any stiffness on the slave pedal? Mine is bouncing way less than with the chains while the main pedal is bouncing almost the same it was. P.S.: Mine is the previous Falcon model, with the tiny logo. The DD piece looks bigger than the newer models too.
@bigbogh
@bigbogh 4 ай бұрын
@joaberios the DD piece is sold separately in the new model. It was lagging a little bit but now with the Trick drive shaft it's extremely good, way less lag
@joaberios
@joaberios 4 ай бұрын
@bigbogh mine was sold separately too, and I too use a good drive shaft from the Brazilian brand KA. With the original drive shaft it works even worse. Looks that the problem is with the DD system itself, once with the chains both beaters bounce almost equally. Thanks for the answer.
