hey Bob how did you get the live input view? how are you feeding that from the ATEM are you using an atem output to feed resolve or is it usb web cam? and with teh aTEM how much delay did you find? when I'm testing I have had about 10 seconds of delay

If they are in business, they aren’t interested in tech support or customer service so I would strongly urge people go elsewhere. Thanks for these videos that are excellent! I have 2 questions. #1 How do you get your atem mini extreme iso to see the SSD you are recording too and then also see the SSD on your computer running Da Vinci Resolve? #2 Can the Ultrastudio Mini HD be used for this solution as well? I'm not aware of any hardware differences besides the output resolution. Thanks for your help on this.

#1 With the new ATEM software update 9.5.1 ... You can see the SSD like a Drive in your Network assuming that the SSD is connected to the ATEM wich is connected to your Network. It is amazing to play with the growing file in Davinci Resolve while it is still beeing recorded. I was streaming a softball game and I could watch it with few seconds delay and edit the best part during the game.

I am a little confused. Maybe someone can help me out. I am running an Atem Mini Extreme ISO, where all 8 Channels are used with my camera feeds. I am recording all 8 feeds on a 2TB SSD, which is connected via USB-C to my Atmen. So far so good. The Atem is conected via USB-C (2nd Port) to my Laptop. I am streaming via OBS Studio. 1. Do i have to connect the Davinci resolve replay via USB-C to my laptop? 2. How exactly will i bring the instant replay to air? Once i press the POI Button on the davinci resolve replay device and hit "run", will the Atem mini now play the instant replay instead of the program feed to OBS?

sooo hear me out! I use a Lumix BS1H. Great camera but it's downfall is no built in screen. I want to start using a prores workflow but using the lumix BS1H or BGH1 with no screen sucks. I was looking for the smallest screen to send sdi out of the BS1H and this device is literally it. What do you think about that? I would use the hdmi to send a clean feed to my ninjav+ & then send all camera menus via sdi into this device. Do you think it would work? I can always check focus via atomos but mainly use this screen to see cameras menus and overlays. If this isnt a good idea, do you have a recommendation for a small screen? Everything I find is around 5 inches and having 2 5 in monitos on the BS1H is not ideal lol thanks!

I forgot to mention, I would only use the sdi input on this device from my BS1H and not send any signal out of this device. I am thinking of using it as literally a small screen for sdi monitoring and powering it off a vmount battery on my camera rig.

This is wild that they still haven't released the replay control yet. In the video they did in April it said it would be available in May - It is now August and it still is only in preorder. What is taking so long?! Football season will be over before this is released.

Can I open the .DRP file and see the growing timeline? I'm looking to streamline my workflow by editing a client's podcast in real-time as I record it. Is there a way to access and edit the ATEM Mini ISO timeline during the recording process?

When you open a .DRP file, it is acting exactly like a ISO Multicam Recording ... all your cut made before are there but it will no longer be updating. In your timeline, you can keep editing the growing file, but it is not a multicam. You can use the cut page to do your editing with the sync bin.

Ok, I have received the confirmation from the BM forum. Decklink is not compatible. Key and fill must be done using Ultrastudio 4K or the media player 10g

Huge favor here that I think we can all get behind. Can you do a step by step setup here(basically greatly expand on the beginning of the video? what power is necessary for doing replay with 4 Kameras? aktual I have 16 gb GfX, fast processor, 1G Network port but have an offline message during watching the files in davinci. Are there any requirements?

Dont quote me on this but i don't think you need a ton of power as far as processing goes im on an m1. However the network may be an issue. Im currently just practicing with an ssd from a previous recording.

@@fightflyers thank your for your reply. The atem ethernet port is 1g, isn't it? So my pc has 1G, too. So a 10G would not make any sense. I have the very equal connection like you. So that is why I am thinking about, how to solve the "media offline" problem. Actual I found out, that I have to have 60-90 seconds back, than there should not be any "media offline" problems. Latest at 45 sec back, the problems begin to start. Any idea?

so he connects the atem via usb-c to the pc and also the ssd via the 2nd usb-C connector from the atem. After you connect your atem mixer via ethernet cable to the pc. Than you have the connection. But my powerfull pc has problems with "media offline" data when the files are 45 seconds behind real time.

Please confirm this is how all the equipments are connected in this workflow: 1. SSD USB drive is connected to one of the USB-C ports on ATEM Mini Extreme ISO 2. Mac running Davinci Resolve and ATEM Mini Extreme ISO are both connected on the same LAN so that the Mac can access the SSD storage attached to the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as a network drive 3. ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is connected to the Mac via the other USB-C port so that Davinci Resolve can get the MultiView output from ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as its live "Input View". How is this configured in Davinci Resolve and ATEM Mini Extreme ISO? 4. UltraStudio 4K Mini is connected to the Mac via Thunderbolt for Davinci Resolve to playback replay 5. UltraStudio 4K Mini is connected to one of the inputs on the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO as a replay channel

This only works if you have a SDI switcher to pass time sync, as well as a ultrastudio 4k mini for capturing the multiview and displaying it in resolve. Which means my hdmi extreme iso wont work. Have to buy sdi switcher and ultrastudio 4k mini to make this work.

nope, you lose the key/fill if you don't have separate inputs for them, you could just use an HDMI input without the key/fill. you get the TC over HDMI too. and you obviously need some sort of ultrastudio to get the replay video back out of Resolve, only the 4K mini supports the separate key/fill to get the nice overlays.
