With the upgraded sherman wirh pen you still did jack all vs a brumba and Pather. Pretty much just drop zero arty on your at guns and youre screwed. The sherman feels pointless when you can spam chaffes or hellcats

The 8 rad capping played a big role he was able to keep a lot of vp pressure the whole game. Against a build with vehicle capping you might need an extra para squad with AT to camp a vp or a chaffee?

This right here is the Wehrmacht meta in 2v2. A literal horde of grens (which seem to have benefited disproportionately in the ttk changes... Why even bother with Jaeger or Pgrens) and then stall into your late game power houses like the brumm and panther. Insanely difficult to stop with usf mediocre at options.

Yes the brummbar is quite tough to stop, need mark vehicle from the captain or something else. Don't even have snares with my build which really ramps up the difficulty.

paratroopers make up for no snares by having ambush capability. with super bazooka upgrade + ambush damage it's pretty spicy especially against diving armor.

Exactly, that was baffling to me as he didn't ever select neither vet1 abilities for the paras when they are so good, fast cap & ambush are really great for laying flank attacks instead of head butting

MG was the right move based on how much infantry he brought out before the light armor. Placement is so key and you didn't get much bang for your buck early.

This match was a portrait of the worst qualities of the current patch's meta. I'll repost my comment from one of your earlier videos: Meta really turned stale fast with this patch, sad to say. Why not just do snare infantry spam into at gun spam, camping middle until late game tanks inevitably arrive? The micro requirement to even approach 50/50 odds on getting value out of mgs and middle game strategies that used to be viable is huge. A big snare infantry spam, spread just beyond the level of blobbing is going to gain vet and control enough munitions to get weaponry with extreme and excessive consistency, at which point they can a-move clear mgs into oblivion, while their snares make any dive onto the at gun line a fool's errand. Their insane TTK makes the only means of protecting mortars and your own AT guns a huge line of screening infantry, resulting in a "rock vs rock, paper sucks" feeling. Once late game tanks come out, which they do, timely, without any significant risks having been taken or investments having been made, the side VPs are easily dominated, meaning any VP lead the opponent may have gambled to achieve is not going to matter. How do you overlook mgs when giving out huge ttk buffs to infantry? It's a very braindead meta. In this case the snare infantry spam didn't even need weaponry, instead their mortar was super effective vs your infantry composition (but not your at guns, as you mentioned) and he was able to save tons of munis for his win button.

@@megasalami-921 The difference is the US MG always sucked like all mgs do now, but with the TTK changes scouts and engineers (and their equivalents for other factions) get melted by the snare infantry spam before their pairing with an MG can pay off like it used to.

The TTK changes really fucked up the balance if you ask me. What’s the incentive to upgrade the basic grens when they overperform and are easily blobbed? 3v3 and 4v4 is so bad for it now. The counter is MGs but when there’s enough of a blob you can steam roll the counter.

why are pathfinders so damn expensive to reinforce. sure they give you great map control early on and they're not too bad in combat, at least much better than normal scouts. but 30mp is too much imo

They overnerfed them from the launch free smoke and cheap rifle grenade days. They've fixed those issues but haven't buffed them back to a good baseline imo

at 7:29 Looks like the last point blank miss ended up hitting the gate that fell over instead of the vehicle. I noticed there is a ton of debris collision especially when it comes to vehicle combat and more. tank "missing" shots because boxes and spewels in the line of fire being hit instead.and so forth.

M8 performance on par with 90% of those I field. Stop micro every shot and you'll still miss, while the snares mosey into range. EDIT: My new rule is never, NEVER chase, let alone dive, with M8s. They are the snipers (yes, it's ironic) of light vehicles.

Auto repair on the move without any conditions needs to go. At least have it only be actively repairing if the tank is giving the secondary buff to nearby infantry

I find this to be the strongest build for me right now. Thanks tightrope! One thing i realised is that you can make the build even stronger by dropping a mortar with the weasel to counter Machine guns easily. Keep the videos coming! /Daniel

Hello Tightrope ! And thanks you for this exchange ! 😉 Considering the start you made, the game must end with a win at 12-14min maximum. It’s pretty simple. As you have mastered 4 fuel point, the WM can’t expect to get a Panzer IV for 15min. In addition, the WM shows Grenadier + Grenadier + MG + PzGrenadier + PzGrenadier. At this point of the game, the PaK40 will necessarily arrive too late. Anyway, after your first Greyhound, just keep making them, 1 per minute. at 10-11 minutes, you have 4 Greyhound, there where the opponent to 1 PaK40 (and a second in construction). PaK40 can keep only one front line. On this map, there are 3. Only the 2 Grenadiers must be kept at a distance. When the position of the PaK40 is known at 10-11 minutes, a flank attack (Greyhound), added to a front attack (infantry + MG) => WM check and mat, he abandons... 14 min maximum to win, 1 Greyhound down only (if the WM keept 2 Grenadiers close of the PaK40. But, the probabilities remain low, because it will try to take back positions on the map. If UKF or US decide to win, on this map, WM cannot do anything to counter. Only DaK have a chance to reach the good counter, and that will be not easy (by targeting the single fuel + manpower opposite point) with mechanized strategy (250 + Engineer Flamethrower, allow faster movements + reduce time fight). I play only in WM and i have "banned" this map. Because, an allied player enough good on skills, tactics, and strategy, is sure to win... 100%, without mistake.

I probably picked the wrong words. I appreciate what you’re trying to do. When you’re in trouble, it’s good to know the different possibilities on each side to make the right strategic choices. Hello Tightrope ! Excellent Analysis. PaK40 was the main problem vs your full Stuart try. UKF Stuarts works, only if your opponent want use Vehicules or Tank for his AT system (Marder, StuG, Panzer IV, specially on the last one). But, if WM use PaK for AT system... your Stuart become weak... And it is "time" to use it to scout with "commander upgrade". Unfortunatly for you, the imbalance generated by the Humber, very early on, the absence of a "middle game" WM vehicle, and the too high cost of Jager PzSchreck (ammos income too low in 1v1) => WM T3 PaK40 !! Automatically !!

That's frome CoH1, always had been. The counter is the lee enfield on sections or the double scopes for aussies, perfect at counter sniping and much less costly/risky then doing an actual sniper. UKF do very well, as do DAK. Dingo dive is so effective at killing a sniper on retreat, or humber. Lots of tools, coh2 is out the question, no reason to talk about it.
