@Moe_NationКүн бұрын
@DraceDetailing yea from HF. If you just need one to practice with then it’s great. Little more noisy but gets the job done.

I use a mix of road warrior, shot of muscle magic, ounce of dirt buster in my cannon with great results. Then come back with turtle wax pure wash for contact cleaning.

Thanks for the comparison Moe. I don't have a business, so I like to buy whatever I like best regardless of cost and I certainly understand that purchasing large amounts of product can really dent the wallet. Like you said, it's soap.

Dealership I bought my car used ozone three times to get rid of cigarette smell. It worked, but it left behind its own nausea-inducing smell. I assume the residue it leaves behind wasn’t cleaned out of the car and is in the seats. What can I do? Wish you were in Knoxville! 😁

I can agree on that for detailing classes but tint and ppf is worth it. I learned a lot that I didn’t see in KZbin videos.

Honestly, it’s best to take a class on it. There was a lot of stuff I learn that I didn’t consider before. A lot of stuff that I didn’t find in a KZbin video.

Your experiencing ghosting or hazzing of the softened or swelled freshly exposed layer of clearcoat. The softer the manufacturers clearcoat is the lower you want the alcohol content to be. Make your own (10× less expensive) inexpensive panel prep IPA with some added lubrication to prevent any marring or scratches. Buy 1 gal. of distilled water from Target. In a 32oz. bottle add 24oz. of distilled water, 7oz. of 91% alcohol, and 1oz.of rinseless wash. This makes a clear coat safe 20% solution. Never go over 30% maximum (<-- Example: Car Pro Eraser), remember you can stain or even soften clearcoat with a high enough % or by letting solution sit or dwell on surface too long. Another helpful hint is to ALWAYS remove any tape from surface before using IPA or it will soften the tape edges and cause unecessary additional streaks to clean off.

That’s great to know. I’ve experienced it more than once. I’ll probably just stick with some sort of polish like APP when I do experience it.

$18/32oz. what a boogie joke. We pay $7/128oz. (PN # 6820P) at Oriellys and add our own water soluable fragrance. For an inexpensive touchless Superior Products option I would recommend 1 ounce of Dark Fury mixed in with 3 ounce of Cherry Foam in your foam cannon. Rarely needed but highly effective if you want a quick apply and rinse solution.

I applaud you sir. Incredibly humbling experience from my own attempts. I chose to skip the hastle and make $ on B2B referrals for service instead. Tinting is a very specialized skilled task. Same for ppf or wraps. Not as simple as train me once and off to the profit races. Takes alot of practice and trial and error.

Yeah tint is no joke haha. It’s actually pretty fun when you get the hang of it.

I use the Lake Country Pad Washer and one pad per vehicle. The pad is always clean and the damp pad helps with heat and lubrication. I invested the same cost into the washer as 10 pads

I agree its not easy to get the high end clients. But its also easy if you pick your “niche” .if you want to do luxury cars. U have to dress the part, and get to know the clients and what they value wich is a great service and convenient for them. U can stay busy and consistent with “regular “cars but can make great connections and more money with high end cars

That stuff looks nice. I just got a nice car and been wanting to keep the paint looking nice. But I gotta start with the little micro scratches and swirls. Do I use a compound to fill in the scratches then seal it? Or should I just polish it with wax? There’s so many products idk where to start 😂
@Moe_Nation23 күн бұрын
Depends on how bad it is. If it’s heavy swirls compound then polish it. If it’s minor stuff you can maybe use a All-in-one like HD speed
