Thanks for sharing your thoughts on your bike. I own a 2020 Honda Shadow Phantom 750cc, and I love it. Here she is... kzbin.info/www/bejne/hF6xgJiBrdVggrMsi=tia7C1CTwWZmjku8 Regarding the head-buffeting issue when riding with a windshield, I solved the problem by getting a higher windshield and lower wind deflectors. There was zero buffeting after that. Check out a video from Memphis Shades about how to pick the correct size windshield for your bike. That's what I did, and the problem was solved. Thumbs-up for your video. Have a great rest of your day... Greetings from Douglas, Arizona 👍🏾🌵🌵😊🇵🇷 Like 209.

I don't know the height of your windshield but if you get the top of it around chin or mouth height, you should lose that head buffeting. Worth a try and you still get the body protection. Nice bike incidentally !

There is a lot of stupid sh1t on this bike, like a fuel pump that isn't actually much of a fuel pump. Rear seat pegs that are way too high up for you to put your feet up on Cylinder heads you can't remove without tearing the whole bike apart Stator coils you can't remove without draining the engine oil. A turn signal that you only can push in to turn off, not just click also back the reverse way.

I agree 100% , but let me qualify my answer. I am a re-entry rider who owned 10 bikes 25 years ago. I just bought a 2001 Shadow Spirit 750 two weeks ago, and it's the first time I rode in 25 years. I am a newbie, again. I find that the Shadow lives at 40 mph, and that feels FAST on this bike. It's a perfect town bike, otherwise I need more experience. I have a windshield and it's steady in the wind, but the psychological fear is that I'll get blown around, even though I know I won't. I feel like a heavier bike would make me feel safer.

Wasn't expecting to run into this vid, but as someone who also rides a 1999 Shadow VT750 ACE i can say you did a great job on the restorations & mods. Paint on the tank indeed gets worn out from years of getting exposed to road dust and gas spills while refilling, so at some point it's e necessary thing to get redone and not difficult to do. Aside from Clutch and Throttle cables needing lubing or getting worn out the bike itself has a damn sturdy engine that hardly ever has issues. 1 recommendation for anyone that owns one would be every 30 000-50 000 km take out the carburetor and give it a good cleaning (best in a ultrasonic bath) and check if the airlines aren't getting cracked and leaking air mixed fuel out.

This video could have been much better. The screaming metal music is just annoying and makes it difficult to concentrate on the video. Showing the process in fast motion is not helpful. You know what you're doing - but the VIEWER does not. Plus the camera is too far away to see much detail, and with no narration or close-ups during the installation, this video is almost useless. Sorry.

Funny you should ask. Shortly after filming this my iPhone camera was shook so bad that it no longer worked properly. That mount came with the bike, it was great for putting on my mountain bike or using the GoPro side of it. For a phone though I'd go with a sturdier mount that's actually meant for motorcycles.

Just bought a 2003 Shadow Ace 750. Though it runs smooth with no hesitation or bogging that baby won't go 70mph if I threw off the Empire State Building. -- Such a beautiful bike. Just ordered plugs, oil, coolant, air filter, fuel filter, etc....with the hopes of reviving a pony or two to at least keep up in town. It seems to be comfy at 50mph. I live in a small town in FL and go back and forth between two other towns about 20-30 mins away so I'd be happy with the bike being comfy at 60mph. --- I'm thinking the first mod would be to either up a tooth on the front sprocket or drop 3 on the rear sprocket. -- I didn't take the bike on a 430 mile trip on the weekend and though I had some discomfort with the seat, it wasn't too bad. --- I have since taken the windshield off and have only ridden in town here and there, no issues. No buffeting. I guess I'll take it a step at a time. Tune-up. -- Then maybe sprocket -- Then maybe a hypercharger, jetting and pipe combo. That should recall some of those ponies that went to the big horse ranch in the sky. :) Thank you Jordan for your video. You did great. Keep enjoying the bike, it's a really nice (and cool) bike.

When they've sat or had mods without tuning that can happen and does happen. I hope some good gas and a tune up did you well. I had to jet my carbs to finish what the guy before me started. I think he put on the nice cobra pipes, lost performance and got frustrated. That might have happened to you. That being said after 3 years of research and mods i can do 110 now and cruise comfortable at 85-90 all day long

Well you could trade it in for a Harley, that way you could feel that thrill of a Harley because sometimes when you try to start it and it actually starts. Then if you ride that Harley and make it back you can work on it and repair it. Call that Harley dealer, he may give you 1,100.00 for your Honda trade-in and offer you an 8% compounding interest loan on a 30,000.00 motorcycle so it ends up costing you 42,000.00 by time it's paid off. Once you got that brand new Harley you can spend spend countless hours and another 5,000.00 on parts changing it. Or you can stick with that 750, change the fluids as required and ride it for another 20 years. You'll save space and a money on having to not buy a hauling trailer and T-shirts in the long run. It's a 750, that motorcycle is not designed to be a crotch rocket or a 1200 cc 900 pound cruiser. That is a upper midsize no trills functioning touring motorcycle, nothing more, nothing less and it performs exactly how it was designed.

I just got a 2011 Aero, the best thing about them is that they are relatively unchanged ( except I sought out a fuel injected one ) - I do like how the mirrors are actually useful on these bikes too ( mine are the round type ones ) Lack of Tacho is a bit of a pain, as I can't hear the bike as well as I thought I'd be able to ( I wear plugs on the motorway ) I do like the weight and stable nature of the 750 - I rode 250s for a long time and they can be a fatiguing ride because they get knocked about by crosswinds.

After reading a lot on the forums and watching videos on KZbin I decided to swap the stock rear sprocket (40 or 42 tooth) out for a 38 tooth from DID and couldn't be happier really calms down the buzz at highway speeds. If you haven't already give the swap a try it makes a difference.
