It's almost 2025 and....I desperately want to go back. Life felt so much different then. I'd be home alone and just have this or the weather channel on at night. I was 9-10 years old. Simpler, slower times.

I remember channel 71 was sci fi channel. Watched lots of cheesy movie on it back in the day.

I miss primestar. I watched so much back then. Love the MPEG2 macroblock effect when you change channels and sometimes its all colored until it buffers. That should be a video editor effect. $50 per month back then WITH HBO and TV service today is $150 per month without HBO.

This could just be a silly infomercial but it’s pretty obvious it’s a lot more for Richard this was his life mission

Richard was the best. He didn't push synthetic fats and sweeteners because he knew real fats like butter and animal fats are healthy in small amounts. It was that push around the 1960's to cut out natural fats and start using corn oil and fake sugars that started the heart disease plague in this country.

I come for the snazzy theme music and the sweaters. The 90s -- oh the 90s.

David Willis who intoduced 1984's Gremlins should've said the movie's quote 'Please Don't Feed Them After Midnight' at the end of 4:43

Such a beautiful man. I grew up with his show, watching him on QVC with his Deal-A-Meal, Get Down the Pounds, his fashions, his dolls. Such an icon. This tugs at my heartstrings remembering my dear mother enjoying watching him with me. He'll forever be in my heart, and always with us.
