would be good to know who plays the keyboard? Vangelis? As far I know in that short month he was with the band they played the Topographic Ocean and the Relayer together. Than he had enough and Rick Wakeman and after Patrick Moraz had to learn those songs. Would be good if someone could find out this about...

Following the 2007 Led Zeppelin show, Page wanted to do a Led Zeppelin tour, but Plant didn't want. Coverdale would've been perfect for the job.

BOC is definitely one of the top rock bands live. They are exceptionally talented and dedicated musicians. Plus amazing song catalog with a great deal of diverse and interesting content. Too often you see bands who are strong in the studio who can't deliver the goods in person, either too sloppy or didn't get their sound right for the venue or both. BOC always delivers the goods. While there are BOC t-shirts that say "On Tour Forever", go see them before they retire. The first BOC LP was released in January 1972 which means 52 years of recording and touring, so probably getting close to the end. They are a must see elite classic rock band.

Duane & Jerry were just kids. Playing for kicks. With no boundaries. My first 2 Dead shows were 4/16-17/83, Brendan Byrne, Steve Stills came out after space both nights - first night Black Queen - second night Love the One You're With And I never looked at - or thought of Steve Stills - the same way as I did after those two nights Because when you're trading licks with Jerry - whatever you think you know, or whatever you've done previously in your musical career - won't cut it. You either step up - or you go home 12 years, 188 shows , w the likes of Mick Taylor, Carlos Santana, Clarence Clemons, Branford, The Bangles, The Nevilles, Hot Tuna, Jorma, Steve Miller, etc..sitting in. I would have traded it all of those jams in ( with the exception of Love the One You're With & MSG 9/10/91 w Branford) to watch & listen to these 2, once in a gazillion lifetimes, guitar heroes, live, doing what they were both born 2 do: Pushing the envelope to places only they knew existed, with nothing but 6 strings on their backs

I got to hangout a little with 24k when they played Town Creek Saloon in Jackson, MS several times. At the time, I was barley scrapping by and going through some difficult times. I was living in the same motel they that used to stay in a bad part of town, but close to the gig. Jimmy and Lance were really cool and fun to talk with about the local girls and the whole vibe at that time. Lance showed me some things on the guitar and even took the time to draw out tab for a scale that I didn't know.Whenever I play any phrasing from that scale I think of Lance. Now in my mid-60's, I remember their kindness and the words of encouragement. Shortly after, I went back to school and had a successful career in media design in Atlanta for 30 years. -- Sometimes you don't know the importance of a moment until it becomes a memory.

@@DardoSimone I picked up a promo CD of Deadicated used later on. However, I did have a friend who worked in the record store when it was released, who would trade vinyl (at his employee discounted price) for weed (at cost). It worked out for both of us. I saw the 30x40 Deadicated promo poster in the store, loved the artwork, (love Jane's Addiction), so I asked Cam to snag it for me. All the detailed photos are scans from the poster. I am having it professionally framed as we speak. Incredible artwork, and Jerry said JA's cover of "Ripple" was his favorite tune on the album.

I went to see Uriah Heep in Birmingham, AL but they said the stage couldn't accommodate the weight of their gear. We had timed our poison to take effect when they came onstage, but the show was cancelled. Finding our car and getting home was a trip. The Heep was the soundtrack to a lot of fun and adventure. An older friend had Very 'eavy and Who's Next 8 track tapes and a '57 Chevy rod. Drove across the country jamming..... Going Mo-bile

@@rosasoc3982 I heard Plant cover David Coverdale and Page's "Shake My Tree" opening night of the 1995 tour, in Pensacola. He wanted to do it like David... but he couldn't. He kinda squeaked in places without the baritone voice Coverdale possessed as well to make it sound sexy.
