Nice video! If I choose metric as drawing units, How do I know if I'm using milimeters o meters when I set my dimensions? I can only see numbers but with no units anywhere.
@CADesigns
@CADesigns 2 жыл бұрын
The default metric units are millimeters. On AutoCAD desktop versions, there is a command ‘units’ that you can type in to set and change your units. I don’t know if it is available on AutoCAD Web.

Can I ask? How do I increase the resolution of my drawings? I've been struggling finding ways to do it. Thank you.
@CADesigns
@CADesigns 2 жыл бұрын
CAD is a vector based program, so the resolution should be great at any size. Maybe in the print settings, make sure your paper size matches what you want to print them at.

The book is Residential Design Using AutoCAD. If your not talking about the exterior entry door, then maybe the closet door. The closet door is 3 feet wide.

Hello, what's the name of the book? Maybe that would help. I'm stuck with the measurements and I really need to finish this project

Hello, me again with no book😂 The wall you missed is 13'....? The two vertical doors to the far top right and below are how many inches wide? And their distance from the far top right vertical outer line is 3...? How wide is the door that say "equal" on the far right middle part? Basically from where you stopped saying the measurements at the end of the video I'm stuck because I don't have the offset distances and width of the doors😭

If you look at time code 5:38, you can see the locations of the openings, and the width of the openings for this floor. I am on my phone, and cannot zoom in to see the dimension, but if it is on the far right then, it is the exterior entry door which is 6 feet wide.

Thanks for your response. But because you initially didn't zoom in on the document on the timestamp you gave me, my zoomed image is very blurry that I can not see the numbers. Is there any way I can send you pics of my drawing to show you which doors I'm talking about?

Hello... I've been following your series of AutoCAD web lessons from the first video, tub if I'm not mistaken. This is my first time using any type of AutoCAD and I've learnt a lot from you. I would have liked it if you had put up this book on google drive and shared the link for us to download, I am just going with the measurements you say but in cases we're you don't mention them like in your last video where you started the video with most of the drawing already up I struggled a little but I figured it out so having access to the book would be great.another thing is, is there a quicker way of reaching you for those questions you speak of? I hope you see this soon. You are awesome, thank you.

Hello, thank you for your comments, I’m glad the videos are helpful. I understand your wanting of the book to help you along the way, but I can’t post the book online due to copyright issues. I originally made these videos for my students who have access to the book, so they can reference it.

Can I ask, how to change dimension of a certain line or rectangle on Web app?
@chrisalburn2842
@chrisalburn2842 2 жыл бұрын
Sure thing, the stretch command should do the trick. Fully “Green Cross Hatch” (select) the side of the object you want to make move. Either the end point of the line, or the side of the rectangle. Hit “S” enter to start the stretch command, and click anywhere in the graphics window. With ortho or polar tracking on, move your mouse to the side you’d like to stretch to, and type in the value you’d like the object to grow by.

@@chrisalburn2842 Thanks a lot for this! Can I add, how do a apply contraint to line to make them vertical, horizontal, parallel or perpendicular? :) I'm also learning Fusion360 now, and get used to F360's contraints, just cannot figure out how to apply in AutoCad Web app
