So why does the timer stop when Link grabs Zelda's hand and not the very moment the cutscene plays?

It’s the last playable moment in the game is what I assumed.

@@elle9188 After some research, I believe it comes down to what the community decides. So the moment Link grabs her hand is when the timer stops. But to me, it should be the very moment the scene starts. As you no longer control Link. I know this because I wasn’t pressing anything when it happened and the game still finished. But of course it makes no difference since it plays out the same speed for everyone.

Yep! They do a ton of damage. I think the developers weren't too worried about making rubies OP because in a casual playthrough you're really not supposed to collect very many of them because they are pretty rare.

Yo how do you downgrade to 1.0.0 without making it have the “an update is required” message?

If you have a physical cartridge of TotK you can factory reset your switch and easily get v1.0.0, but the downside of that is that factory resetting deletes all your game data. The other option is to homebrew your switch.

The save data is not stored on the cartridge. One more thing is that I've heard people say that you can back up cloud saves using Nintendo Switch Online and restore them after the factory reset, but I have never tried this myself so I can't really vouch for it but I would definitely do some research on it.

I can’t wait for them to find a way to skip the first cutscene, it takes up so much time. You could push near 30 min without it

I agree that it would be fantastic but unfortunately at the moment, something like that looks far from possible. The only thing that sends you past the intro sequence and to the Room of Awakening is activating the 4 minute unskippable cutscene and it's hard to even think of a reasonable idea for a way to get around that.
