*I have a relatively flat lawn that nevertheless has a number of bumps and uneven bits in it because it is a bigger, more country like lawn🌼 **allabout.wiki/Husqvarna-315X** After the set up, which went as smoothly as can be expected given how much I hate learning to work new tech toys, Husqvarna got to work and did a surprisingly quiet job of getting the mowing done. While it has gotten itself stuck a couple of times, lifting the mower out of a too low bed edge occasionally is a whole lot less labor-intensive than dealing with having the mow crew come twice a month and having to pay the resulting bill.*

At the time of the video Husqvarna didn't had any good smaller alternatives (the 105 has a non-caster back wheel which wears the grass when mower turns). Today I would suggest the cheapest of Husqvarna group's other brands which have small models with caster backwheel for this very small lawn. McCulloch Rob S, Gardena Sileno City / Sileno Minimo or Flymo Easycut / easycut go for those in the UK.

I bought one of these and I live in the US. Here are some of my disappointments: - Husqvarna does not give any support. Instead, you're assigned to a local reseller to take care of issues. In my case, this local reseller (who mainly sells motorcycles) doesn't seem to have much time nor interest, so I feel quite disconnected from Husqvarna. - The firmware (the software on the unit) does not impress me. It does in the end do the job, but even after a month of 'learning' my lawn, it makes rather embarrassing decisions. - The Bluetooth connection is not reliable. Even if the mobile device is just a few feet away. - The Husqvarna mobile device app is also quite clunky. - The theft-function (making noice if picked-up) does not work. I can pick it up at any time without any sounds emitted. - The display on the mower broke after a month. I left the mower with my local Husqvarna rep. and it's been more than a month and they are still not done with it. Mostly it's been sitting in a corner and they only take actions if I prompt them with frequent phone calls. - The mower is still relative new, so I fear what to expect as things start to get old.

There is a security hole in HTML5. It runs through javascript, which is not secured all the time. If they completely fix the security problems with the javascript that runs HTML5, then there will be compatibility issues with some animations that worked fine before the patch. It is going to take years to fix every bug, don't just pretend there aren't any, that will make it take way longer to fix them.

An hour? I have 300x50ft backyard with tons of trees on the perimeter to go around and it only takes me a hour. Was curious about this thing because it says it can do .25acre which is about the size of my back yard but the way it goes around randomly seems like it would be cutting 24/7 and still miss some?

h82fail lol I thought I must have misheard when he said it would take an hour to mow that. I have 2 acres and weed eat and that takes me under 2 hours. If I had that lawn I could buy a cheap electric weed eater and knock that out in 5 minutes. Any way the rest of the video is good.

I'm on my 3rd Husqvarna robot lawnmower. The first was a 330X that died after 2 years and a lot of maintenance. I thought I’d give it a second try and bought a 430X when it came to market. It had stopped by the road and was picked up and crushed by the municipal trash disposal company the very first day after I installed it. Fortunately, the credit card I used to purchase it had an insurance policy and the card company replaced it. The lesson learned there is, don’t complain about credit card annual fees if the card carries benefits such as loss insurance. The 430X does an excellent job of cutting. Having said that, it is a relatively high maintenance system. I’ve already replaced the cutting motor after only a few months of use. Fortunately, it was covered under warranty. The GPS system is ineffective so I use the guide wire program method to obtain better lawn coverage. The remote app is full of bugs and disconnects and/or crashes routinely. If you have grounds keepers or lawn sprinkler service personnel servicing your property, it’s best to make sure that the boundary and guide wires are buried at least 6 inches (150 millimeters) deep. I have to trace and repair cut wires whenever they edge the beds or the sprinkler company digs up lines that the grounds keepers have cut. Finding wire breaks is not as easy as some make it sound and can be very time consuming. I use the USB port and diagnostic program to troubleshoot the mower. My primary residence is in Florida and I have Zoysia grass. The best cutting results next to a drum type mover have been obtained with the 430X. It gets quite hot here in the summer and pushing a drum mower around can be exhausting. I have a love/hate relationship with the 430X.

@psyience3213 2 жыл бұрын
Why is the gps ineffective? I’ve seen great success with the gps coverage. The boundary wires especially should be pretty easy to avoid during renovations. Just give them a little buffer, you basically know right where they are. Excluded zones and guide wires should be marked or flagged and again given a little buffer.

5mins to get changed, 5mins to get it out of the garage & run a power lead round, 5mins to actually cut it and dispose of the clippings, 5 mins to clean and put everthing away, 5mins to get changed again. 25mins total. 30 times a year --> 12hrs a year.

Guys, you are missing the point of a Robot mower. Even if it was 10 minutes to cut this small lawn, you wouldn't do it every day. These mowers drastically change the appearance of the lawn within weeks. Nothing to do with being lazy. They cut every day, in all weathers and at night. They never let long stalks grow that take up nutrients which in turn makes the grass roots thinner and dense, they then grow outwards and give the lawn a thick appearance. Bowling greens and putting greens are mowed every day or at least 4 or 5 times a week for this reason. Weeds diminish as the competition for nutrients from the dense grass is far greater than if mowed once a week and the shorter grass provides no shade for the moss. The tiny clippings 2-5mm long decompose into the soil and give back the nutrients so there is no need for feeding. Mowing once a week even with a mulching mower spits out 1 inch plus long bits of grass that forms thatch that starves the lawn of oxygen. Moisture is retained better during hotter months and the razor sharp thin blades cut the grass without ripping it. So time saved, grass looks much healthier, greener, environmentally friendly, weeds suppressed, moss doesn't grow. Not about lawn size. I've got the 430x and it has transformed my lawn...which is a a 3rd of an acre. I used to enjoy mowing the lawn, but I didn't enjoy it looking like crap. Doesn't anymore.
