Also just to update that dodgy wiring is a powersoak for assumably a dodgy alternator? Not sure why they didn’t just get a new one but I’ve got a new one, however I’m still having to use the wiring until I cut it all out and reroute it but all my battery problems are gone Still got the car and have no plans to get rid of it, just haven’t got the time ot money to work on it right now!

If it's all your windows it could be your comfort relay, I did a previous video on it:)

@@calp5525 cool, will look at that..windows open when you open door, then turn ignition on and they don't work for 10 mins..I will change comfort relay

@@calp5525 it was the comfort relay. I couldn't find a new one , so soldered one cracked joint and all working now 😊. The other problem I have tried to sort the driver's window as it comes away from the guide at the B pillar.

@@paulbabeGood to know it was the comfort relay! Other issue sounds like one I’m having in this video Those clips that we glued in could be in the wrong position, they’re a pain to get hold of though, pretty much have to break them off another car

Hey mate! Depends on if your car is EU or US which side it’ll be, but it’ll be hidden away there somewhere mine was proper deep behind some wires Try looking up your model and production year

You have no idea how long I haven’t been able to open my back door. I thought it was just broken cuz it opened from the inside I couldn’t find the child lock and just figured it didn’t have one and omg you point it out so quickly I just went to my car and did it back door opened I’m fuming lmao. Thank you for this video.

In the back? Cars old doesnt have electric rear windows I got the 1.6 auto so like the lowest end model, I’ve noticed the car has loads of weird parts like I have an e30 MAF They either came like that due to this or the previous owner wanted nicer door cards and had to put cranks in himself, not sure!

Hey bro, based off what I’ve seen online the locks are because the central locking harness is routed via the boot/trunk it gets squashed and damaged overtime Apparently getting a new harness fixes it but it doesn’t bother me enough to go through all that effort…. yet lol

Try pushing your knee on the door as you lock and unlock the door. It could be the sensor button on the inside of the striker inside of the door jam. That's what I've been doing lol. I put temporary electrical tape to make the button in the striker bigger until I buy or pull one at a junk yard.

I had this exact problem where the harness in the boot got weared out and then the fuses go for the central lock and the windows

I might in the future if I have an excess of time/money OR if I start to notice temperatures becoming a problem I don’t think its the end of the world unless you start to notice high temps
