Hey, is everything ok with your Instagram account? It's all black to me and it cannot be found directly only links to it in the re-posts. Thanks!

Hi, thank you for your message! This video is quite old, and in the meantime, I have changed my username. I forgot to update the links in older videos. You can now find me as @caldervanandel

May I ask, what is the gauge and material of the wire that you are using to hold up your ornaments? I have used nitride but it slumps at high fire. Thank you.
@caldervanandelКүн бұрын
I'm sorry, I'm not sure what material it is, I got it at my local pottery shop in The Netherlands: www.silexshop.nl/product/staaf-metaal-diam-2x300-mm-1250c/

Hey Calder, thank you so much for this video. I made a bowl and was looking for inspiration for a yarn bowl. This was perfect. I’m guessing you’re self-taught, like me… With gratitude, from India!

Not just any straw will do. Most are too large especially if the object piece is particularly small. I found that coffee straws at the mini-mart worked great, but the speed of blowing took practice. Great technique @

There's nothing quite as valuable as the voice of experience...if you listen very carefully. I like the look and the simplicity of the technique. Great work!🎉

What about using obsidian, smokey merlot, seaweed and indigo float? You could do obsidian first then pour the other 3 in? Would live to see that.

I Calder! :-) I am enjoying your pouring glazes video but can you please tell me what you said at footage 4:00 after you said “…those Amaco glazes fire at cone five and six,”….. what did you say after that? About low fire glazes? I keep listening to that sentence over and over and can’t figure out what you said.
@caldervanandel3 ай бұрын
I said that you can try doing this technique with low fire glazes! It probably works great with any glaze. Thank you for watching :))
