Grew up in Delaware born and raised been to the monster mile numerous times but one time we did the infield and this is where you have to get on the infield at going the other way and you can't leave the infield until the race is over I went there for a 500 mi race it was a long day but definitely an experience and this is where we had to get out!! This was cool to see!!

There are ways....Then there are ways....OK! The 21 car was maybe unfairly treated. But his actions took that all away! Now his season is over! ( if not more) His sponsors and crew have been humiliated! I feel for the driver yes!! Maybe just a real bad day! But he's supposed to be a professional. Schoolyard tactics when you have a 900 HP Machine at your fingertips, just makes for a very bad example, and seriously dangerous situation for his fellow drivers, and for adults, and young ones in the crowd that just wanted to enjoy a good night watching a car race. that is just.....SAD! :(

Isn’t this track flat? Ooh goody cold be as cold as that Bristol race, spent the two races just hoping the drivers wouldn’t crash & slow things down …. I’m from Michigan & the last New Years Day race I went to was like 20 years ago & only because I was the scorer & I had heat in the tower…. Come to think of it, people brought generators in & set up heaters … people fought to be in that area…

Red and white paint scheme will remain. The track isn't really any narrower than it has been, just looks like it because the barrier is taller than the rails used to be. Their main goal was to leave the track as original as possible. Just no more cars flinging over the guard rails and possibly hurting the drivers and the fans. This will also allow them to bring other faster series cars like ARCA and Sprint Cars. The lighting system arrived today (12/16) and catch fencing should start going up tomorrow (12/17). The goal is for the main track construction to be completed by Christmas as the construction crew wants to return back to Florida for Christmas.
