So true about the poop on the running wheel! Pro tip: invest in a silent wheel because they are nocturnal and my hedgie runs on his wheel for a good portion of the night. He also poops immediately upon being placed in his bath.

I own 2 female African pygmy hedgehogs. It's been a year since I got them and I won't give them away for anything. I am just so in love with my little hedgies even though they're so much work. I still discourage everyone that asks me if they should get a hedgehog for the exact same reasons.

They are just extremely allergic and it can really kill them if they ingest it. Just not worth the risk

I get very stressed with my hedgehog when she isn’t bonding as much as I wish she would but I’ve had many paitence with her and she’s slowly opening up and it’s so worth it.

Yay! I’m so glad that you are back making videos. When i was in high school (about 5 years ago) i wanted a hedgehog so bad. I researched and watched a bunch of videos especially yours! Although my parents would never let me get one but yesterday i finally got my first hedgehog!

I have many! The one on my neck behind my ear is the one ring from lord of the rings, my sleeve is the story of the hobbit (hobbit door, river, forest, mountains, dragon), I have the one ring inscription around my thigh, and a tiny swirly on my ankle I got in new zealand. And the tolkien trademark logo on my forearm incorporated in my sleeve lol

Hedgehog feces has reportedly carried it before. Not all, but it's not different really than contracting it from reptiles and amphibians. Just wash your hands after handling/cleaning.
