@@AssettoCutz hey, to be honest it started to peel on the edges so I took it off to avoid losing the camera. I dropped the helmet on the mount on a very hot summer ride (which I'm guessing weakend the adhesive). I reached out to the company, and got a quick reply starting that they redesigned the mount because there was too much tension pulling the mount away from the helmet. They sent me the new design (it looks identical outside, but different material inside) and I have had no issues since. I will recommend the product, and can say they have excellent customer service.

Tbh I did have an issue with it a few months ago on a camping trip. To be fair, it was around 100°f and I dropped the helmet on the chin mount. It came loose on one side. I removed the other to avoid risking losing the camera. I reached out to the company and they informed me that they redesigned the inside of the unit so out wouldn't pull up as much, and sent me a free replacement. This one is working great so far. Used it on 3 trips so far.

It be better if it had a full soft inner liner rather than just a small patch for the wind shield only. Get one heavy windstorm and your paint will be scuffed up

Just curious why you didn’t go with a normal window a/c unit an build a stand. Then no hoses
@MRMRS2wheeler
@MRMRS2wheeler Ай бұрын
The window units are heavier, bulkier (hard to store) and also not as efficient, and with a stand will take even more valuable space. The portable unit can run off of a battery longer then the window unit (better for off grid use), and I get the benefit of a heater in cooler temps. The smaller unit means I can move it around from inside the camper (with hoses) to outside the camper (in the add a room) and just run one hose into the camper to cool it down at night, or no hose to cool down the add a room. It is more expensive but fits my needs much better, If I was car camping, the window unit might make more sense.

Sometimes I see comments on this subject that the polarity is reversed between the SAE and EC5 - is that a concern? I do know there are SAE polarity switching adapters you can get if needed.
@MRMRS2wheeler
@MRMRS2wheeler Ай бұрын
That is correct. On my updated video of the jump starter (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmOqkJ59gptgrrssi=TO7YidSH_km1aCzK), I touch on the subject. Yes, it is a concern as some of the newer unit do have reversed polarity (and also proprietary plugs, not standard EC5) and the switching adapters do work. But make sure you get a quality one, as I have had some heat up and melt under the high current while jump starting.

I already have a tool roll from Wolfman, very strong and not expensive, also get the one from Odinsberg, very happy with those. This time I was looking for a bag for electronics (chargers, cables, battery packs), and after reviewing some of those designed for electronics I realized those are not designed to travel on motorcycle, review few very expensive staff from Mosko, then found this Klim. 100% fan of Klim also, can’t go wrong except for the suspicious low price. I ordered and waiting for it now. Thanks for the review, very helpful! Regards from Costa Rica

I’m a fan of the st1300 and I’m glad you are still using it even though you’re pulling a trailer. It would have been so easy to upgrade the bike to something more prone to pulling a trailer, like a goldwing. I had an st1300 from 2007 to 2009 then I traded it for a new 2009 goldwing. Long story short the 5 generation wing is top heavy for my short legs. I should never have gotten rid of the st. In 2021 I started looking for a second bike and I wanted it to be another st. After 5 months of having no luck I found a 2007 Yamaha fjr 1300a in burnt cherry matalic. Kind of rambling here sorry about that. Long story short keep your bikes and just add to your collection.

I love my St. It's an amazing bike. Very capable and comfortable. Not really made for towing, so it took a bit of work to equip it. They can be hard to find depending on where you live, but a good source is the st-owners.com forum. My next bike will likely be a goldwing. Not sure yet if I'll give up the St. To many great memories. Enjoy the fjr, and ride safe. Thanks for watching

Great Question. I'll explain. First, NO cover will last forever. I've had covers that only lasted a few months, which tear and leak. These last a few years each, and have protected my bike very well. Always dry after rain. Second, I am in South Florida and my bike lives outdoors. The cover is exposed to brutal sun all year round, torrential storms, and the occasional hurricane & tropical storm (extreme winds) so for a cover to last a few years each under those conditions, is fantastic. For most, I would expect it to last much, MUCH longer. Third, Yes, I have collected several sacks, but remember, I have been using their covers for over 11 years now, and I have 3 different covers. One for my CBR, one travel cover (which I have had for over 11 years, and lastly, the cover you see in the video. That one takes the most abuse being outdoors year round. And fourth, and the best part: in the almost 12 years of owning these covers, I have only bought it once. It is the BEST cover you can buy (only once) I hope that explains it 😉😁

Apparently the Spyder f3 does take 15psi. Still seems low to me. The +2, means plus or minutes 2lbs. That would be determined by weight, temperature outside etc. With that said, 15 is probably the lowest pressure you sould put. I've read that most run at least 22 in front and 25 in rear. Again, it is based on weight. The more weight, the higher you should inflate. (Just a few pounds extra) I would recommend to check with a local dealer to be safe.

I have the metal 90 degree valve stems installed on my st1300 during the last tire change, but I think the T valves is the way to go.
