Bruh, this creature gave my nightmares during my childhood. The music kinda a bob though

This boss was hard as shit, but man did it feel great when I finally beat it. If I gotta be honest, kinda sad how the the final hazard was super easy compared to this boss. They could definitely have done more for that final boss, especially not shoving it's ass onto a pole like what kinda sus goofy design is that for a boss supposed to be epic???

Probly one of the darkest bosses in a child's game. However it was done so well. It was disturbing when the cutscene started to play. You saw this big metal palm tree looking thing beating sounding like a heart above a fake altar for the Master emerald. then this lizard just spawns in front of Sonic and knuckles and then you have to fight it as shadow. all that happening for the first time definitely gave me uncomfortable vibes and I absolutely loved it. I think it was supposed to symbolize like a darker side of science as well as the pain and suffering that the lizard and Shadow go through. Or the heart beating sound symbolizing the the lizard can barely sustain it's life and it's literally the life support systems doing all the work. To save maria from her illness, Professor gerald wanted to create the ultimate lifeform so he can cure his grandaughter. His first attempt spawned the biolizard. He based it's design from his studies of the prophecy mural of chaos and supersonic from SA1. however it was more based off of chaos. As a result the lizard was created had an animal intelligence, and had crazy superpowers. However those powers would come at the great cost of the biolizards health. So it needed a life support system to keep it alive for more experiments as well as well as rush the growing up process of the lizard. Later down the line the lizard would grow too big too fast for it's own organs to keep it alive so they kept adding on to the life support system to continue experiments. As a result the biolizard would get more aggressive towards the scientists (and just overall more aggressive in general). This led gerald to scrap the biolizard experement and deem it a failure. He then looked back at the prophecy mural of chaos and supersonic and decided that project shadow should be based off of sonic instead. Not having the adiquate materials or DNA gerald contacted the black arms and made a deal with black doom. Dooms dna for the planet. They agreed on the deal and gerald was finally able to create the official ultimate life form. Shadow the hedgehog. Results were a major success. Knowing the black arms would come to Earth, Gerald developed the eclipse canon. He did not want to see the planet die. So he made that as a key part of his plan to save Earth. As he was developing the Canon Shadow and Maria got to know each other very well however it was cut short when gone rated the arc and killed Maria in the process as well as putting the biolizard in suspended animation in the arc's core.

I didn’t think of the Biolizard as a destructive beast I thought it was a lost confused creature who had to suffer at the hand of Gun and was hooked to life support with that gadget on its back. Plus this theme is twisted and I love it
