Hello William, For the older remotes, Press F1 three times then move left/right to cycle through settings. For the new Tivo remotes, Press B= Closed Captioning On/Off. Thanks! Angi

since we were forced into this change to google, was hoping that it would get us back Showtime/Smithsonian but nope. Still paying the same price for less channels since Jan when they dropped SHO. Now if I want those channels, guess what ? Gotta pay more to stream. Also this self install kit lacked the parts to get anymore than the 1 set top box working, forced me to go and figure out I need a network switch to make the 2nd TV work... not very happy about how this was done

The fioptics plus service is trash. It is 720p which is the same as it was 15 years ago. Most other streaming services like KZbin TV and hulu stream at least some channels in 4k. They are also cheaper by about 50% so there is no reason to have altafiber tv service.

@@altafiber Have to unplug and /or reconnect to the internet routinely. Funny, I also have KZbin TV and never have that issue with it. going wireless with Android was a mistake and we're now all stuck with it.

This is ridiculously too complicated for the older generations. Being able to click record and record an entire series was so much easier. Now I’m going to have to teach my parents how to use this and I’m not even sure I know how!

Hi there, I just watched your video because I work as a fiber tech in Belgium and I want to immigrate to Canada. I install in buildings (2 clients a day, 5 days a week). Fiber rack is usually in the basement and I put a new fiber cable/wire from there to the apartment of the client. I also have the copper skills so some days I won't have any fiber but 5, 6 or 7 clients a day. Every day they push you do work more. How many clients do you install per day ? Could you give me more details about your day ? Thanks you for reply.

My cable box is connected to a JVC tv with no HDMI port. The new TiVO box requires an HDMI port on each connected TV to install. This is a problem for me and other customers. We had no chance to decide whether or not to upgrade cable service. 😢😢😢
