Do you have the link on "how to" upgrade the wifi and blue tooth on a 2012 MacBook Pro?

Could I install this MacOS version on The Macbook Pro 13" 2015 / with the i5 core • and if I could would that slow the performance?

I am time to time make tests on my macs (MBP13" from 2012, MBP15" from 2015) and currently the 2015 is on MontereyOS (latest version that installs natively). My 2012 MBP13" is upgrading now to VenturaOS and we will see if the last version of OCLP make his magics. I have 2 HHDD for the 2012, so if anything goes wrong I could install the 2nd HHDD with Catalina on it. When I upgrade to newer OSes on old machines, I always select a colour for background (or the simplest background image I have), put on the display accesibility features (minor movement, transprency off) to help the graphics charge of the system. A week ago I have purchased a new MBP13" M3, so I could compare the performances and features that work and not work. The M3 is on another level, like so many machines from above 2024.

My Smart Home works great using my iPhone, but the MacBook Pro shows older Home app smart devices and they are all non-responsive none of my hubs show on my MacBook. But again, everything works fine with my iPhone. My iPhone and MacBook are on the same iCloud and same network.

I just did this on a 2012 Pro and it took me 5 tries over the course of a few hours. If your HD keeps refusing to finish the install just keep trying. I have a 1 TB SATA HD, not SSD

Does game porting toolkit work on it? I have a 2012 15" and it runs pretty well with ventura. But ventura does not support GPTK. So I am wondering if the fact that I have an i7 and a dedicated graphics card would be enough power to make it a good experience and be able to have the benefits of GPTK.

One year after you posted this I found it worked very nicely for my mid-2012 MacBook Pro 9,2. I've been running Sonoma long enough now to be satisfied with its functionality and my ability to download and use applications not otherwise available with older MacOS versions (pre 12's). I work offshore and this laptop - especially with all the old gadgets like the body case - this laptop is a beast. I never had a stronger and more durable tech tool. Quick question for you. I have a customer bringing me in this exact same model for upgrading. Plan on doing an ssd and 16gigs of ram of course. I am very familiar with opencore and have done tons of hackintosh's on older 3rd gen Intel boards, but typically I go as high as Monterey and call it good. My question is, in your opinion on the one I have coming in, Should I just go Monterey? Maybe Sonoma, Sequoia? BIG SUR? I know about how it will perform with Monterey but have never tested anything higher on a gen 3. Is it about the same, or is it slower?

I’ve already used Chromebooks in my school (the HP ones with 4gb of storage) and I aldo have my own ASUS c214ma flip but since it only has 32gb of eMMc storage, I used that up pretty quickly, now I’m saving up for the Lenovo thinkpad Chromebook c14 and will definitely use it as my main desktop
