I have been trying to find out when the clearance center has the big sale in my state, without any luck. On the phone I am told to keep checking their website but they don’t know. The nearest is almost 2 hours away which is doable if I was fairly certain. Do you have any tips?
@CajunBelleThriftsАй бұрын
They put the announcement up the morning of the sale start. So if there is a sale next weekend (Labor day weekend), it will be on the site Thursday morning.

Hi! Another video of awesome finds and great prices. Do you figure sell through rate the same as eBay’s product research or the way that some KZbinrs do where the percentage rate can be over 100?
@CajunBelleThrifts2 ай бұрын
So, as a former accountant, I always giggle a little when I hear anything over 100% but I know what they mean. The percentage that eBay gives under the product research (what I show in the videos) is half of what You Tube resellers normally talk about. So 50% on eBay is a 100% sell through in the usual You Tuber speak.

Sorry! the first number is from the last thing I showed (previous running total), the second number is the cost/potential sale price, and third is the running total. It was more for me when I talked about it. Thanks for letting me know it's confusing, it's easy enough to go back to the old format.

Barefoot Dreams Cozy Chic (sheek) is actually the fabric. Theres Cozy Chic, Cozy Chic Lite and I think theres an even thinner one but I cant remember what they named it.....Ultra Lite, maybe? If I remember correctly, the Lite sells the best in almost every style. All the color names are related to the Malibu/California vibe. Ive never understood its popularity, I dont find it all that soft (which is their big selling point) and the polyester in it just makes me sweaty instead of warm. Of course Oprah made them popular and they grew too big too fast so the market just got saturated. They dont have many new designs either. I only pick it up if its super cheap but I seldom even find it since most thrifts put them on their web sites instead. Even Judy Blue....never find it for under $20 here.
@CajunBelleThrifts2 ай бұрын
$20 is outrageous for Judy Blue but if people will buy it for that much, they will keep pricing it up. I'm so lucky that my stores don't price much up.

Cinq a Sept is a great brand to resell. I had never heard of it but found a dress for $8 nwt at a liquidation department store and sold it for $250. Newport News was sold via catalog and is no longer in business. They were first owned by Avon and subsequently sold to Spiegel catalog.

I was just listening at first, and when you said there was a bullet at the bottom i thought you meant the blender brand so I rewound it so I could see. Haha. Can you tell me the steps to find the sell through rates that you are showing on ebay? Thanks!
@CajunBelleThrifts4 ай бұрын
It's under the research tab on the Seller Hub.
@michellehughes43184 ай бұрын
So when you list something for $35, do you actually get that much? Because I feel that I would get $25 offers…..or lower. 🤷♀️ Not sure what I’m doing wrong.
@CajunBelleThrifts4 ай бұрын
It's quite the process but important. If I think something can sell for $35, I will list it for $48. On eBay I always have a "20% off sale" running so the price would then be $38. I make offers to watchers for 10% off so then it is close to $35. On poshmark my normal offers are 20% off and then special middle of the month and end of the month offers are 30%. On Mercari there is a limit of 20% that can be offered so once again, right at the target price. I get plenty of lowball offers too, and just counter them at what I want. I do sometimes message people that keep sending me offers that $XX is my lowest. Sometimes it actually works. And then sometimes I just take a lowball because something has sat too long and I'd rather have the money to go source something better.

Great format! I like this way of discovery/reality way of shopping/listing. I find shopping videos can make me anxious sometimes when people pass up valuable items or pick up cheap items. Yarn is a crrap shoot. I used to buy expensive yarn to sell but now I only buy if its something that has a sold comp. I found a large hank of specialty yarn with a $150 tag...couldnt find any comp anywhere! Thrift had it for $20 so I left it. A knitter would be thrilled to find it. Fyi, skein is oronounced 'skain' like rain. There are skeins, balls, and hanks. Some skeins and all hanks need to be wound into balls before you can use them. Why not just produce balls, right? Yarn is weird but so beautiful, lol.
@CajunBelleThrifts4 ай бұрын
I'm a crocheter and aspiring knitter so naturally I love yarn. Aspiring, as in I have a large collection of knitting needles from thrifting but I haven't made anything yet. I always hit the crafting area first to see if there's some fun thing I don't have yet. Weirdly, I find that the cheaper/more common yarns sell better. A big lot of common red lion will sell fast, I guess because more people know the brand.
