Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!" Hunter S. Thompson

First time I saw him he came on playing a tenor and a baritone sax simultaneously. Later on he got alittle upset with his drummer, took the sticks, and did the drums 'til his man`could find the beat.Throw in his keyboard genius, you got a show. Obviously I'll never forget.

(English translation of the rough meaning of the Japanese lyrics) Aiming at the shimmering mirage on the sea, The ship is going forward Till we reach the land of the unseen and fantastic To shake awake the island nation of the ink painting world As it seems to have fallen asleep that isolated from the rest of the world Only one bright star of dawn is shining high above the island country yet to be seen The dawn is quietly coming to the island nation of the ink painting world. BLACK SHIP(Kuro Fune)” (Released November 5, 1974) / Sadistic Mika Band Side A 1. “Sumie no kuni e (Toward the Land of Ink Painting)” (composed by Kazuhiko Kato) 2. “Something is coming from the sea” (Composed by Sadistics*) 3. “Time Machine ni Onegai” (Composed by Kazuhiko Kato) 4. “Black Ship(Kuro fune) (Kaei 6 (1853) June 2)” (Composed by Sadistics*) 5. “Black Ship(Kuro fune) (Kaei 6 (1853) June 3)”(Composed by Sadistics*) 6. “Black Ship(Kuro fune) (Kaei 6 (1853) June 6)”(Composed by Sadistics*) Side B 7. “Yoroshiku Douzo” (Composed by Sadistics*) 8. “Dontaku” (Composed by Kazuhiko Kato) 9. “Ode to the Four Seasons” (Composed by Kazuhiko Kato) 10. “Suki Suki Suki (Hei made Hittottobi)” (Composed by Rei Ohara) 11. “Typhoon Song”(Composed by Kazuhiko Kato and Rei Obara) 12. “Sayonara(Good bye)” (Composed by Kazuhiko Kato) ※The “Sadistics” in the composer's name is a song co-written by the four band members, Takanaka (G), Takahashi (D), Ohara (B), and Imai (K). //Christopher Thomas was the music supervisor for Pink Floyd's “Dark Side of the Moon,” released the previous year in 1973, The following year, he produced “Black Ship(Kuro fune)” by the Sadistic Mica Band. I see walls But these walls aren't in my way And I read words But they don't have much to say I don't listen to the cops I wish they all were dead Listen to the planes flying over head Listen to the sound of the loss and gain I just listen to the sound of the rain I see a man He worked so hard to get ahead And we're a band That's playing music for the dead I don't listen to the cops I wish they all were dead Listen to the planes flying over head Listen to the sound of the loss and gain I just listen to the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain Oh, the rain falls down upon my head Those words that you heard I wish I'd have said Oh no, why didn't I say Oh no, oh yeah, oh yeah I see a man He worked so hard to get ahead And we're a band That's playing music for the dead I don't listen to the cops I wish they all were dead Listen to the planes flying over head Listen to the sound of the loss and gain I just listen to the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain I just listen to the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain I just listen to the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain To the sound of the rain
