What about your tailings you used to have a tailing sluice how much is getting away?
@sluicegoosegoldrop282115 күн бұрын
The Vortex Spinner made Goldrop so much more efficient not having to use water to stir the trap, the Magnet sluice is no longer needed. The paddle provides lift in the spin as well as creating a vortex. This mechanical lift eliminated the injection of water to mix the trap reducing the water flow blowing out the gold. At the same time, the funnel water is reduced using less water to wash the dirt down the feed tube. So much less water flowing through Goldrop keeps the gold and other dense matter in the trap or drops into the jar. I have now achieved what my original consept entailed. the dirt is fluidized enough to allow the incoming dirt at a higher level to displace the dirt in the trap to be goosed up and out gently leaving the dense matter, gold, silver, platinum, palladium, rhodium, mercury lead, copper and others behind in the trap or jar.
@bigmark195714 күн бұрын
John in the future, could you go over your tailings again to make sure that mixer is working properly and you have no gold exiting I am skeptical that the gold has escaped. Please show a demonstration of running your tailings again to convince me and your audience. Thank you.
@sluicegoosegoldrop28218 күн бұрын
@@bigmark1957 That is standard proceedure. There is no skepticism about missing gold! All the gold is not extracted the first go-around. I classify the tailings to 50 mesh and process the classified tailings back through Goldrop Vortex Spinner using less water to extract the very fine flour gold from the smaller class tailings that is not extracted from the 1/8"- pay dirt from the first process. Not much there to make a video of. The tiny flour gold particles end up as white specs not recognizable as gold when videoed or photographed which raises skepticism as well about what is being seen.

So, I have a 5-gallon bucket of minus 50 mesh concentrates in need of processing; do I have to do a cleanup after every scoop? I don't see any place for the tailings to go, or is the tailings another procedure? It seems awfully slow, even compared to a blue bowl, and the blue bowl flushes its tailings without another procedure. I'm out!
@sluicegoosegoldrop2821Ай бұрын
You can process the 5 gallon bucket of cons through Goldrop, nonstop, in 30 minutes. No need to cleanup after every scoop. I doubt you can do that using a blue bowl. The tailings are discharged and end up in the first bucket. Switch it out when it becomes 1/2 full of tailings. Check out some of my other Goldrop videos. There are over 90 of them searching Goldrop with more on the way! To decide your out after watching 1 Goldrop video because you don't understand its operation would cause me to investigate further. Send me some of your cons for a video test. Done that with gold miners before they bought one.

do you use distilled water in your machine?
@sluicegoosegoldrop2821Ай бұрын
It does not matter where the water comes from fresh water or salt water.. It's going to get dirty regardless of water type. I add a surfactant to the water to reduce water surface tension. Gold will float on water because it's hydrophobic, hates to get wet, with the help of water's surface tension.

The main thing you need for proper operation, is pre-classified material. It's much easier to tune the flow when you have similar mesh size material.
@sluicegoosegoldrop28214 ай бұрын
Yes, ore classification starts at 1/8”. A Goldrop owner in Las Vegas classifies down to 200 mesh to recover 600 mesh oceanic gold from a claim once owned by Howard Hughes. Howard, at the time planned mining the claims but no technology at the time could recover such tiny flour gold.

to my knowledge, there has yet to be an economically feasible method for ocean water gold extraction. This includes processing the post-extraction surface of saline distillation beds, where salt is harvested.

I only question on why after removing the magnetite, you dump dirty water into the clean bin. And then remove the magnetite again only to add dirty water and remove it again. Leave it in the clean pan and work on the rest of it.
@ericcross41804 ай бұрын
could you add a chamber in the main aggitation section to house steel ball bearings to help prevent gold flutter? Youd have to dial the size in and could use a mesh slightly smaller than the bearings to create the chamber (or maybe bars). Seems like it could act as a ball mill/pulverizer. Could it flatten out the iron to some degree at the same time? maybe a swappable section for the awnry gold.

With inflation as it is over the last 3 three years increasing prices on all materials to manufacture Goldrop, I have not raised the $2000 base price to reflect these increased costs. With Gold at $2300/oz. and climbing, less than an ounce recovered will more than pay for a Goldrop. Beyond the payoff, more gold will continue to be extracted by Goldrop from the same pay dirt putting more gold in your pocket that other devices cannot recover.

Understanding and learning about previous art, such as the Elutriator device described by Daniel E. Walsh, can greatly benefit prospectors in creating their own devices. The Elutriator device, as outlined in the MIRL report no. 91, has been proven effective in extracting coarse heavy minerals from sluice box concentrate. By studying and comprehending the principles behind this device, prospectors can gain valuable insights into the separation and recovery of fine gold. This knowledge allows them to explore the possibility of constructing their own Goldrop-like device, tailored to their specific needs and resources. Let's face it, folks. The adoption of this fancy Goldrop thing is gonna be a bumpy ride. I wouldn't recommend it to those poor South American, African, or Asian miners. It's just not gonna work out. But hey, if you're an American, Canadian, or European prospector or if you happen to be a high-level miner in a third world country (go you!), then Goldrop might just be your golden ticket. Feel free to give it a shot and see if it changes your mining game. Good luck out there!

The Gemological Institute of America has granted Mercury Free Mining an additional $93,000 to work with the Alliance for Responsible Mining and send 3 Goldrops to Colombia starting in May for a comprehensive 6 month study to explore the feasiblity of Goldrop to replace mercury. We'll hold off judgement of Goldrop's performance until their results are published. with Goldrop being 98% efficient dropping flour gold into the jar and mercury being only 30% to 50% efficient amalgamating with gold, I think the Goldrop stands a pretty gold chance of outperforming mercury among artisanal miners.
