So, im looking into planning a solo trip here, and can I ask how safe it felt? I'm terrified of traveling alone but I want to travel here SO BAD!
@akfasso10 сағат бұрын
Plan it! I absolutely loved this city and found myself wandering very early in the mornings and late in the evenings and I never felt nervous about my safety. Of course, I always stay vigilant of my surroundings and I think that’s the most important part of feeling confident and safe - know the places you can duck into if you feel uncomfortable (restaurants, hotels, police stations, etc…) and try to get a decent grasp of your transportation options in the city ahead of your trip. With all that being said, I felt very comfortable traveling as a solo female to Edinburgh!

Thank you! your tour just brought me back 60 years ago when I toured these villages with my mother who had chosen precisely these villages to show me the best in Mallorca (she lived in the hights of Santa Ponça). We did not do the hike you so courageously took: congratulations and respect. Congratulations also for your charming descriptions.... Again: thank you.

Glad I could bring you back! It was SUCH a beautiful island and the locals could not have been nicer.

I wish KZbin had directed me to your channel sooner, when you did the original My Maps video. I was supposed to do a New England road trip in Fall 2020. With this tool, I can transfer all the attractions, restaurant and hotel info from my file in Sheets. Next, I'll have to figure out when I can reschedule the trip.

Hope you get to do that trip soon! I love the New England area especially during the autumn. :)

Ashley, bravo on your superb writing/narration that you put together for this video. Honestly, you put Rick Steves to shame! I have been watching many videos on cruises to Norway and Iceland (which we will be doing with our best friends in May & June-2025) and yours is, by far, the best I've seen on Norway! Wonderfully filmed, super informative, engaging and just the right amount of information along the way. So well enjoyed in fact, I am now going to subscribe to your channel so that I can enjoy more of your adventures! Keep up the travel and the great content!

Thank you so much for this kind comment! Really made my night, especially as a fan of Rick Steves. :) Enjoy your trip to Norway and Iceland. Both places are absolutely incredible!

Just looked it up! Thanks for the suggestion. :) I’m really curious to explore other areas off the Water of Leith walkway next time I’m there, so this would line up perfectly with that.

Thankyou for this video, I've been watching alot of videos, as I'm going up to Scotland at the end of October and we're we are staying is one of the places people have seen them, so your video is going on my watch over and over list because you didn't make it too technical, for me anyway and you also showed the photos with differing setting which made more sense to me so thankyou, great video.

Thanks for this great video. I'm from VA and we usually go south for vacations. But WV is on our list of places to visit next. I have been to Harpers Ferry, and it was beautiful. Planning to go to the New River Gorge this fall. My wife will not go to the Allegheny Lunatic asylum..lol...There was a show on Discovery Channel, Expedition X, and they went there for a night visit. I'll pass on that one. Hope to see WV soon.

WOW! I am planning a solo trip to Scotland for September 2025 and this is the best video I have found. I am a very visual learner and deal with a LOT of travel anxiety and over planning. I love how you included maps. Very well made video for an anxious, but excited, tourist like me!
@akfasso9 күн бұрын
Thank you! This comment actually means a lot! I don’t have too much travel anxiety, which is probably because I like to understand as much about where I’m going as possible. Making these maps for myself in advance and understanding the general layout has always helped me feel confident about where I’m going. Enjoy your solo trip! Edinburgh is a blast to explore. :)

Born, bred and raised in New Mexico. Left 2 times and always returning “home”. You need to expand out from The Bisti Highway/Wilderness area and see the entire 4-Corners. Much to offer, short miles into each surrounding state and a wonderful place to play and rest, once you’ve landed your feet. Hope to see more of your adventures here in New Mexico! 😊❤
@akfasso12 күн бұрын
Would love to come back! I was fortunate enough to explore other areas of the state when I was younger, which is why my focus was really in the northern areas this time. I’ll definitely have a return trip on my radar!

Hi, I’m just seeing your video which is really nice and wanted to know when did you go and what were the temperatures? I’m going the first part of September and not sure how to pack. Any information would be appreciated. 😊
@akfasso15 күн бұрын
Sept 23 - Oct 3! Oh gosh… I can’t exactly remember what I was wearing, but I suspect temperatures were in the 50s and 60s (°F). I remember thinking it was very comfortable weather to explore each city in. Not too hot or too cold. On the ship, I’d often be outside under a blanket enjoying the sun. Have a great trip!

Thanks for the video. I'm planning a 10 day trip from Alabama to Niagara Falls and this helped me understand how to plan it out in My Maps. As a side note, my father was an over the road truck driver and I went with him many times as a kid. Needless to say the Rand McNally Atlas was in my lap a lot. I still keep an updated one in the car because I like to look at maps in that format.

I just made these last night.I let it rise 2x in the bowl to the top then rolled it out.Wow it was hard to roll it out but got it done.Then I put rolls in pan to where they're almost touching then let them rise for 20 min.Then finally in oven but had to cook them for like 35 minutes.They are gigantic puffy moist and melt in mouth delicious.Why did I make these?? I just lost 6 pounds now i'm puttin it back on! Thank you for the video.
@akfasso18 күн бұрын
Thanks for sharing! Definitely not recommended for weightloss, but they are SO delicious. ;) Next time, I’ll be more patient with letting the dough rise. I think that’s key.

Your report is really interesting, but i just cannot stand the background "music", why do people put this garbage on a otherwise outstanding report, i will never understand that... your voice is nice, it is way enough - no one needs this alienated "music"-sauce!
@akfasso21 күн бұрын
Thanks for the feedback. I actually spend a lot of time selecting the music for my videos, trying to match the general vibe I felt while I was visiting. Might not be for everyone, though, and that’s alright! Was there a specific music track you didn’t like out of the 16+ songs featured in this video?

Unfortunately Val Bavona has changed quite a lot due to a big storm and the bad side of nature, a couple of villages were hardly touched and the valley was completely isolated for weeks, the small rock bridge at the end of your video don’t exist anymore. Very sad period for the valley.
