I recently got the 100 to compare to my 40. The 100 effortlessly fills my room with sound and barely breaks a sweat. The 40 sounds clearer, the 100 is quite dark sounding.

Nah I noticed the opposite. I THINK the stock pickups in the Player series are slightly hotter.

The DSL20 has a great sound. It's obviously not quite on par with those legendary top tier Marshalls. But it truly is most of the way there at an affordable price.

I recently learned the dynamic range listed (15 stops) is for video and has 11.71 stops for photos.

My question is: why do they sell it that way? If you buy the digital edition, you can decide to add a disc drive and you get everything you need: the drive, the faceplate and longer stands. But if you buy the disc version, you can NOT decide to remove the disc drive, because the faceplate and the shorter stands are missing. I think it would have made more sense to sell the digital edition only and maybe bundle it with the seperate disc drive.

Bought my Disc Slim yesterday and installed it just today. The 3 things I like are the smaller, more compact size with the Console, and I did think the picture quality of my 4K UHD movies was a little improved than the OG, well as far as I could tell. - And LOVE the "Dolby Atmos" upgrade.

Great video. Question for you, what is the point of the removable disk drive?

They sell it cheaper without the disk drive, so you can buy in and add the drive on later. The design now allows for them to make only one SKU for this model, but allow people to decide if they'll ever use the drive. The other side of the PS5 opens up too, so that you can upgrade the size of your hard drive. You can go from 1tb all the way up to 8tb, and it's the same easy process as replacing the drive. Definitely Genius Engineering... "It takes a genius to take a complex thing and make it simple, and it takes an 'idiot' to take a simple thing and make it complicated." A few years late. I own one. The tubes are biased way too hot. Input jack is junk, as is the speaker cable. They're actually quite unreliable without modification. But once modified, they're just okay.
