Hey Film Mission, I just checked out East Village NY video and it has nothing on Kensington Market in Toronto, Kensington is far more charming and artsy than the Village. Oh, I also lived on Agusta Ave In the 70's. 😄

The kids clothing store just by the escalator used to be a video game store in the 90s. They carry imports too I saw many games that never had the North American version. The souvenir shop next to Fido used to be a shoe store IIRC. Some shops also have arcade cabinets it's either Street Fighter II or Fatal Fury. On the second floor there are kiosks that sells bootleg PS1 games. Many shops selling bootleg dvds. There was an optometrist on the main floor. After the exam the dr. will not give you the prescription he will send it to the optical store upstair so you can only buy glasses from that store. I don't know if we paid for the exam as it would be my parents paying I have no idea. The third floor used to be a Chinese restaurant it brings a lot of foot traffic. The mall was packed back in the day. Not sure what happened to it after I moved out of the area.

They should have left the streetcar tracks alone on Bloor-Danforth in 1966 and there would at least have had a backup in case of subway outages/problems.
