The sole idea that could be more Nick Drakes hidden or never discovered chases me, like that Good Will Hunting scene when Prof. Lambeau quotes; “Sometimes I wish I had never met you, because then I could go to sleep at night not knowing there was someone like you out there.” that guitar is sounds so fresh even nowadays

Hello, Hi ya, everyone, I, too, are very moved, by, David, taking on this song, when he did. I, have always felt, that, when mostly, when, our David, sings, most of his versions, or, his own written songs, David, always puts so much, of himself in to his performances . I, once told him, when I got my chance to say it. It was after I think it may have been, live Brady Bunch play, at the Village Gate Theater? In NYC area. Anyway, l don't remember, from whom it was? But I was told, our David, was really feeling, disappointed , he was not being asked to be part of another, Oliver's planned, showing ,in the NYC area ? I mentioned it to him, he just looked at me ,puzzled. I then said, David! Why! Don't! You do! The Fagin! I know it would be GREAT! David! When you do a performance, it's not just a performance! You BECOME! THE PERFORMANCE! ITS! LIKE! YOU'VE LIVED IN THAT TIME! AND YOU WOULD BE, RELAYING! THAT! BACK TO US! DAVID! I KNOW IT WOULD BE GREAT! WOULD YOU, THINK ABOUT, PLEASE! ? HE SAID HE WOULD, AND THANKYOU! WELL, I BELIEVE , IT WAS, MAYBE, TWO YRS? AFTER? BUT HE, DID IT! I PERSONALLY, NEVER, GOT TO SEE IT! BUT I WAS GLAD HE , DID! FULFILL HIS DREAMS! OF DOING THIS PERSON, ( I always felt, was a father figure, in a way, to the kids, he'd turned into, pick pockets! But I believed, he always fed! Them! Gave them! A place to sleep! He did mind them all, but he did also, profit from what he taught them all! Sort of, one hand, washed the other!) And, my point, I have, always felt, because, our David was an actor, when our David sang, all that experience, went in to his singing ! When I was a 13 year old, it always felt like, David was telling, someone, how he was emotionally feeling about them! Very heartfelt 😢 I also, want to say. I read, a few months back, a dear friend of David's, knew about David's feelings, about faith, in general. And on a part of the YOU TUB, this fellow, said, back in the early 70's, our David, was, as you all know, David was trying hard to change his known, style, of his music. The story goes, David brought, some demos of his own. But, (and it figures!) They, were, dismissed! One that, David, brought to him, I guess, was a recording promotion set up, especially, rejected ! David's written work on a song, 'MY HEART BELONGS TO THE LORD ' HE, TOLD OUR DAVID, IT WAS TOO JESUS! AND IT WAS TOSSED! I BELIEVE THAT'S THE POINT! AND, NOW, IT'S, LOST? I WISH SOMEONE, COULD FIND IT! I FEEL, PERSONALLY, IT COULD BE, RECORDED BY, SOMEONE, THE, ORIGINAL, RECORDED BY DAVID, AND, IT, COULD, BE, MADE, FOR DAVID'S FANS, TO RAISE MONEY, FOR, DJEMF ❤ WOULD THAT BE GREAT? I WISH THIS COULD BE POSSIBLY! ❤ I PERSONALLY, WOULD, LOVE TO HEAR, AND OWN THIS, RECORDED SONG ❤ I WAS, AWARE, OF DAVID'S, LOVE OF JESUS ❤ WELL, I'VE, SHARED MY FEELINGS, ABOUT DAVID AND HIS SINGING, ANY WORK,GIVEN TO HIM EVER! I, WILL ALWAYS LOVE HIM, AND MISS MUCH 😢 BUT, I KNOW, IT WILL NEVER, BE AS DEEPLY AS HIS FAMILY, GO'S THRU, IN THEIR OWN PRIVATE MOMENTS ❤😢 BE, SAFE, ALWAYS, AND, GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU ❤ BYE NOW, MARY

There's always a conversation about who started country rock and the outlaw movement was it Buffalo Springfield ,Poco, Gram Parsons but I tell you right now it was Michael Nesmith who was in The Monkees years before any of those bands even came out in the mid-60s he was way ahead of the Curve it was also the one who wrote the song that started Linda ronstadt's career" Different Drums". So to me he is the father of country rock and the outlaw movement years before Willie and Waylon

Ooh, this takes me back - I produced/arranged it for Micky when he was over in London directing the stage show "Bugsey Malone". I also did three or four other tracks, with the cast. The engineer was Renate Blauel who later married Elton John for a very short time.🙂

it was John Martyn who helped Nick Drake develop his open tuning guitar styles. Sad loss indeed, as he was so unique and amazing.

"By the Waters of Minnetonka" was inspired by a Sioux Love Song recorded by Mr. Lieurance in October, 1911, on the Crow Reservation in Montana. The tune was sung by Sitting Eagle, a Sioux. No one knows how old this Sioux Love Song is. It moves on today and into the future. This love song is based upon the following legend: Moon Deer, daughter of the Moon Clan, loved Sun Deer of the Sun Clan. Tribal law forbade marriage between the two clans. It was decreed that daughters of the Moon Clan must marry into the Eagle Clan. The two lovers, in tears, ran away far to the east and north. They came to a beautiful lake called Minnetonka (Minne means water; Tonka means large and round). Their happiness was disturbed because their traditional enemies, the Chippewa, lived on the north shore of this lake. They feared to return home and be separated, and finally in desperation they decided to end it all. The legend states that they disappeared beneath the waves and were no more. The waves moaned a rhythmic sound and the pines crooned their love song. Many moons afterwards the warriors of the Sioux drove the Chippewa north to Lake Superior. One night while they were camped on the shores of Lake Minnetonka, they heard the waters singing a weird melody and, in the moon-path on the waters, two lilies appeared and grew to the skies. The lilies were the spirits of Moon Deer and Sun Deer.

The band on this recording is VISITOR from NYC featuring Joe Bop and John Reilly on drums (yes there were two), Frank Annunzziata and René Lozano on the guitars, Joe Ford on the bass and my brother, Billy Blanco Jr. on the piano. It was recorded at the Record Plant Studios owned by the late great Roy Cicala.

Ah no, not the Batmobile again. I've just seen the Batmobile just a few seconds ago. I'm quite sure that you're not a Centurions power xtreme fan like the way I am. You're not even the Tonka's Supernaturals fan either. It's just that no one will ever impersonate these characters. It's just that the Monkees have never made fun of the Centurions power xtreme and the Tonka's Supernaturals characters before.
