Hopefully you all got powder specific boards since then. You all were sinking and riding off the rear leg from what I noticed. The experience is a lot more fun when you can keep your weight centered and actually float on the fresh powder 👍🏼
@robwiensmedia2 ай бұрын
Not disagreeing with what an ideal board would be but where I come from we don't have conditions like this...no matter how much sinking or rear leg riding we were doing it was a 11/10 time.
@narrowistheway772 ай бұрын
@@robwiensmedia I suppose if you’re not riding in conditions like this 20+ times per season then it’s not worth it to get powder specific boards, but it would blow your mind how much better this is with the right equipment. Are you from the ice coast or something?
@robwiensmedia2 ай бұрын
@@narrowistheway77 Yeah this was a rare trip west and it just absolutely dumped. Since then have bought something with more length and width and of course seen the difference it makes...just promise me you won't lose any sleep knowing there are people out there using the wrong board for the conditions :)

Very cool setup you have! What’s the ceiling height there? I’m thinking of building a pole barn that would fit a court and interested in knowing the wall height of your barn. It seems to be tall enough for some good rally’s. My guess is 18’ but not sure!

Hi Rob, how are you doing? I bought a GDOME and use it with the iPhone. I would like to know what tips you would give to get good photos.
@robwiensmedia Жыл бұрын
Right on. I'd say practice and use it as often as you can to get used to it. Getting subjects above and below is ideal for over/under shots and if there's a burst mode on the iphone that would also help. Water clarity also important so keep on the lookout for great spots to use it.

Yeah I'd say so! Tried to do as much research as I could and felt this was the best one. Just make sure it's sealed the best you can especially out in waves. Overall just do your best to keep any water droplets off the top half and you'll get great shots!

@@robwiensmedia thank you Rob!! Do you happen to remember a ballpark price of the excursions?
@robwiensmedia5 жыл бұрын
Sharinda Williams it all depends on what you choose but I’d say $150 per person is in the ball park. The wildlife sanctuary is right up the street and was $40 i think but that’s a bit different..my main advice is you’ll want to book excursions as early in the week as you can so you can guarantee your spot, and then you can just relax knowing you’ve got your bookings out of the way.

@robwiensmedia5 жыл бұрын
@@niravpatel9448 Hey Nirav and thanks! The horse back riding was all part of a day of different activities. You're riding for probably 20 mins but end up at the top of the mountain and on to a zip line! I'm sure there are more specific horse back rides but this was just a short part of the day. Can't quite remember the name of the day tour but if you're staying at a resort then just talk to the tour guide there on site and you'll see what your options are. Maybe even scope them out ahead of time and see if they have a list of what's available from where you're staying or how to contact them if it's not something they set up on site. Hope that helps.

Great Video Mate going there next week and this really wet my appetite. Could you advise where some of the excursions you took were loved the zip lines and Animals?
@robwiensmedia6 жыл бұрын
Right on, yeah you'll enjoy it. So we went through Sunwing but just depends who you're travelling through. At the resort near the reception area (at the back of the main lobby) there's a few agents who set up camp who can book you into whatever you want to do. All excursions are a bit of a distance from the resort as that area is a bit of a no-mans land for all the activities but the drives out are great to see more of the country so nothing to worry about there. The zipline was a blast and was part of an adventure day where the mudding, hot springs and tubing were all a part of. The animals are right down the street from the resort and if you want to do that just mention to one of the reps who'll book you in (can probably book that the day before or maybe even day of and wouldn't be a scheduling issue). To get to Tamarindo beach we took a shuttle from the resort which we booked with a shuttle agency near the reception area as well, but it's just outside near the round-about. My advice is to look up and decide which excursion(s) you want to do, then book them as soon as you can so you can space them out how you feel and can help ensure you get your spot in each. Lots to explore in Costa Rica and getting off the resort was definitely the way to do it!
