Its offensive when someone from Domican Republic, Wenezuela, Brasil or USA is asking if Poland is safe... dudes... When You say in those shitholes of the world that You feel safe its not event close to the level EUrope.... and Poland is on another level comparing to Europe.... for example in US You have 7 murders per 100000 inhaitants... and do You feel unsafe in shithole of Missuri or other Arizona.... do You feel unsafe? So in poland we have 10 times less brutal crime... in Poland we 0,6 murders comparing of 7 in US... Do You understand how safe is Poland? One of my foreign friends went to buy some postcards and left her purse with money and all in the post office. They did their best to find her and give her her purse back. After that nothing in the world could convince her she should keep an eye on her stuff anyways. She didn't. It is also a common thing when you find a jacket, a glove, a baby shoe on a pavement you put it near in safer spot (like on a bush or a rail) for the person who lost it may come and find their posession safe. I found 2 wallets and 2 IDs in my life, all safe delivered to the owners. 😊 I mean - things happen and we should help each other (my own lost jacket I found hung safely on a tree 2 hours after losing it (it fell from my bike), and my all medical history found a week after in a store where I left it...).

I'm so happy to read this story. I have definitely felt that while being here, people are really polite and will often go out of their way to help each other. ❤️ When I gave birth I had only been here for 3 months and barely spoke a word in Polish. Everyone from the nurses to the other moms was so nice and helpful. I will always be grateful to the Polish people❤️🇵🇱

@@Robertino12 W górach musi być naprawdę pięknie, ale zdecydowanie za zimno, hahaha. Bardzo mi się tu podoba, bo można poczuć zmiany i docenić każdą porę roku. Zawsze marzyłem o zobaczeniu śniegu, ale teraz rozumiem, że po kilku tygodniach bardziej przypomina to pracę niż przyjemność.

The advice about socks is very good. Courtesy, Poles say that you don't have to take off your shoes, but they expect it. I can't imagine walking on the carpet in shoes, it's so unhygienic, especially if you have small children at home who like to play on the floor.

Miss, if you can't plan your shopping and do it in advance for one day of the week, you're not an adult. I know people who own many large companies and don't suffer from too much time, but they still manage to plan things like that...

If stores are so keen on selling on Sundays, let them invent stores without human service. Additionally, as an emergency, you can always shop in small stores where their owners work behind the cash register and no one forces anyone to work on Sundays...

Hi there, thank you again for keeping the conversation. Just wanted to clarify that we are not disagreeing. I think it´s normal to not like certain things but at the same time understanding that in the big picture they are good and worth it. I love how responsible and educated people are here about recycling and separating the trash but I also think "omg, in my country I would just throw this all in the same bag" (Which is why my country is full of trash everywhere and Poland is clean) Also, you are completely right you have different options for emergencies and at the same time you can support local businesses instead of big companies.

@@thepolishlatina This short movie is based on a XVIth century legend - a deal with the devil, so essentially a form of a faustian bargain between nobleman Twardowski and the devil. It is said he lives on the Moon to this day. It is one from an entire series which turn old legends into short sf movies. Twardowsky and Twardowsky 2.0 are the best in my opinion. Both use some great, classic songs from 1970s and 1980s. When it comes to the music from more modern times someone will definetely recommend Męskie Granie - the annual project sponsored by Żywiec brewery. I think that songs from 2018 and 2021 are considered the best. Both have outstanding videos.

Regarding the Catholicism, a awhile back I watched a video by Wolters World, he is a guy who travels a lot and what shocked him was when he was on a bus and some teenagers made a Sign of the Cross when the bus was passing by a Church. He totally didn't expect teens to be so into it.

Here's one thing you need to know. The polish property market is rigged. And prices have risen higher than anywhere in Europe? Why ? Cos the scum bags in government actually pay the interest on people's mortgages. Yes folks.... take out a 25 year mortgage, and for the next ten years , the friendly polish government will pay the interest payments on it every quarter ....ain't that nice of them? They're planning on doing the same next year..... In their own words..... If we don't do this , then the housing market will crash In their own words...... When people invest ( note the word invest and not buy ) , when people invest in an appartment they don't expect it to go down in price. And hence the reason for all the government subsidies in Poland to rig those over priced polish appartments . And the best bit.... 65 per cent of all polish citizens vote for the two political parties that support and promote this theft. Lovely place poland , enjoy your time there.

Yeah, the countryside is still pretty much religious, mostly catholic or orthodox on east. Most of its elderly has that strong devotion to JPII, it kinda reminds me of chairman Mao portaits in rural China 😅. The cities, especially the biggest ones, are another story. They secularise spectacularly. And the religiousness seriously varies between regions.

It really surprised me how seriously people take it because in my country the religious aspects merged into the culture and you will see people be "catholic" but not actually live a catholic life in the more strict sense. Here in the countryside, I have seen that it´s still really alive in the areas where I have been, it makes sense though that in the cities it´s less present.

Cześć. Myślę, że każdy kraj ma swoje wzloty i upadki, a to naprawdę zależy od tego, gdzie w kraju mieszkasz. Nie mogę wypowiadać się w imieniu USA, bo jestem Dominikańczykiem, ale nawet w moim kraju są miejsca, w których czuję się wyjątkowo bezpiecznie i takie, do których sam bym nie pojechał.
