Stroll probably drives better but Latifi was more humble about him driving there. Like Stroll acts like he know he can't be fired and doesn't make the effort to hide that fact making it really frustrating.

I geniunely think he wasn't actually that bad.Should he be in Formula One. Probably not. Were there worse drivers than him in F1 at the time. For sure. Towards the back end of 2021, he started outqualifying Mr. Saturday himself pretty often. I feel he was able to maximise the potential of the Williams in the wet better than Albon was as well. In Silverstone, he got to Q3 whilst Albon was eliminated in Q1, and in Japan, he managed to score points whilst Albon crashed out. Compared to Sargeant, Latifi managed to score one more point than he did in a much worse car compared to the rest of the field. I reckon if Latifi had been given two more seasons like Sargeant had, he wouldn't have been able to beat Albon but Williams would have scored a few more points in 2023 and as he got used to the ground effect cars, he would have gotten closer to Albon. Of course, with Carlos Sainz coming in, Latifi would have to get the boot, but he would have become a solid option for WEC team, and I reckon he could do a decent job in Formula E maybe getting some podiums and wins along the way.

Latifi had 3 years and Sargent currently has 1,5. Last year the Williams was bad at most tracks and good at some that gave a few opportunities to score points while the Williams now is mediocre everywhere making scoring points a lot harder.

@@cyan_oxy6734 imo, the 2023 car was the best car Williams have put out since 2017. Sargeant only managed to score 1 point in that and that was due to a Hamilton and Leclerc penalty which DSQ'd them. Albon scored 27 points with that car, whilst in 2021, Russell scored only 16 points, which was massively boosted by his podium in Belgium.

Nicky didn’t have a fair chance with the cars he had, but from we all saw it was pretty clear he’d never become more than a mediocre/all right driver. I’ve got nothing against him don’t get me wrong, but I can tell you the name of many drivers that would’ve got twice the amount of progress within the same time he had. But yeah unfortunately I guess we’ll never really know his true potential.🥲

He wasn't tho. Albon had 27 points while Logan had 1 point. And it's not like Albon is some ultra GOAT (not saying he's bad at all) just that when Latifi had 0 points George had 3 points (from mercedes car anyway) and I would say George is at least as good as Albon and probably a bit better as well. Also Logan is often so arrogant and complaining while going P20 where as Latifi was always chill and going P20.

I wish people would more often separate a professional racing driver's success (or lack of it) in F1, from the success they achieved in other championships. Latifi was a very talented racing driver, but he was the worst driver on the F1 grid for 2 years in the worst car. As a result, he became utterly memeworthy with his lack of success and apparent lack of "talent." I'll add, however, that anyone who is considered a "pay driver" is someone who gets no respect from me.

Fun fact about the 2020 F1 season: Latifi would have finished ahead of Russell in the championship had Lewis not gotten sick (Latifi had more 11th place finishes).

I really like the style of your video, few notes: 1. I know you’re a part time KZbinr and it will take more time but use more colorful and detailed backgrounds when you have all the notes and pictures, it will be much more visually appealing and engaging.
