The distance is crucial for the stereo field. You should simply put the microphones apart while you have the headphones on and then take your personal favorite position. Of course, this only applies to omnidirectional microphones. but I think less than 20 cm is definitely not enough. I have around 50 cm distance here.

Здравствуйте, так вот при использовании клиппи 272 отличий между регистраторами почти нет. Я предпочитал использовать свой рекордер Sony M10 (или Sony D100) с Clippys. Регистратор Sony очень долго работает от 2-х батареек типа АА. Зум f3 также имеет очень хорошее качество записи. К сожалению, зум f3 имеет следующие недостатки: Батареи хватает на небольшой срок службы. Выход на наушники для меня иногда слишком тихий/качество хуже, чем у Sony или звуковых устройств. Конечно, у Mixpre 6 есть все преимущества (качество звука, отличный разъем для наушников...). Mixpre, конечно, намного тяжелее и обычно доступен только тогда, когда мне нужно более двух каналов или когда речь идет об очень важных записях, которые невозможно повторить (32-битное плавающее число отлично подходит, особенно с громким шумом). Hello, I'm currently mainly using the following tripod: Cullmann neomax 220. It's very small and light, which is important if you have to carry your audio equipment. It can also be brought to an acceptable height, which is important so that you don't have too strong reflections from the floor/something getting in the way. If weight doesn't matter to you, any other photo tripod will of course do as well. best regards and good luck.

@@soundhole5498 This sounds like you don't have a use for more directional or obviously stereo files? Or am I missing something else? I agree that the EM272 -- Clippy or Pluggy -- is better for omni. On the other hand, have you ever considered an ambisonic approach? I dither between the eS8s and a Rode NT-SF1 for example. Thanks for your time.

Hallo, die Clippys kaufe ich immer über Micbooster.com und es hat bisher auch nie Probleme gegeben. Im direkten Vergleich mit dem Audio-Technica BP 4025, bevorzuge ich die Clippys. Das ist natürlich nicht ganz fair da die Clippys ja als spaced Omnis immer ein natürlicheres Klangerlebnis erzeugen. Das 4025 ist ja eine XY Anordnung ... hier fehlt auch etwas die Mitte ... deshalb muss ich im nachhinein auch nochmal das Stereobild anpassen. Die Clippys gibts auch ohne XRL (also normale Klinke) wodurch sie auch an kleinere Recorder passen. Ich habe insgesamt 3 Clippy Stereo-sets und alle haben bisher ohne Probleme bei allen Temperaturen und Feuchtigkeiten funktioniert. Also muss ich sagen die Clippys sind für mich persönlich der Gewinner. Alternativ gibts natürlich auch die LOM Mics... aber die sind fast nicht zu bekommen. Beste Grüße Richard

Ich habe mir ein paar Videos mit dem 4025 angehört, und fand das Stereobild auch nicht optimal, teilweise - wie mir schien - mit ein paar "Phasen- schweinereinen". Aufgrund der schwierigen Situation mit LOM pro probiere ich es wohl auch mit den Clippys. Deine Aufnahme des "abandoned harbor" finde ich z.B. extrem gut (so viele tiefe Anteile) - auch wenn es teilweise sicher am MixPre liegt.

The red ball is a Manfrotto Dado set. Alternatively, you can also try the roadworx thread cube + K&M 20002. It's a lot cheaper but has fewer angles available.

Since I often travel on foot or by bike, small and lightweight luggage is important to me. That's why I prefer the Clippys. Additionally, they really sound good.

@@marcinfilip7405 In my opinion, the SE8 have a bit more noise than the Clippys. However, they also sound somehow fuller. So for loud sounds (music/instruments, talking people, etc.), I would prefer the SE8. For quiet atmospheres in the forest, etc., the Clippys are the better choice for me. That is a subjective opinion and not scientifically substantiated information. :)

For ambient recordings, the spaced omnis (Clippy 272) simply sound better to my ears. Additionally, they are significantly more affordable. And for sound effects, I prefer to use a shotgun microphone if needed, although it also works with the Clippys if you place them very close to the sound source to avoid capturing too much ambient noise.
