The only way to honestly compare vodkas is in a blind taste test. More than any other drink, your prejudices will affect how you perceive a vodka.
@LiquorHound6 күн бұрын
I’ve done several blind vodka review videos, but trust me I have zero prejudices when it comes to my reviews. It helps that I only review things I like, and that I’ve never received any brand sponsorships. Cheers!

Nobleman if you can find it. From there it’s a toss up between the Port & Cognac finished bourbon if you like fruit and an easy drinker, or The Herald if you like bigger abv bourbons with a longer finish. Cheers!

What a great review, I had never seen the Cameron Bridge until today, but at 320.00 here in NC figured I'd check out some reviews first, but man If I ever see that Talisker I'll jump on it!

Nice review. I have all three [the EJ Mexicano in the ancestral brown bottle]. My fav of those 3 is Ultramundo-- huge fanboy of what they're putting out. My fav Ultramundo batch so far is GLE-004. 👍🏾

Its funny I actually bought both bottles when I was in Scotland and flew them back to the states. Well worth the money. 10/10 would do it again.

as someone being forced to live in dominion of canada, i really miss having beluga vodka. i could see immediately after you drank it, that it is excellent. the transatlantic was actually the first bit of cuisine i had in russia, in dominion of canada noble export was the only one available to me ever. i cannot wait to emigrate away from the americas.

i bought a bottle of 4roses and shared it with a friend. it was the sweetest bourbon I ever had, just like melted candy with a little heat. I can't remember if it was the Select or Single Barrel. I have been searching for that bottle/flavor ever since about 4 years ago. No bottle of any bourbon I have had even comes close to that one bottle of 4roses that one night.
@LiquorHound7 күн бұрын
Wooo! Four Roses Single Barrels will do that to you! Hopefully you’ll stumble on another one close to it one day. 🤞 Cheers!

Great review! I’m not to crazy about the Sandend, I think it’s the manzanilla cask notes that I’m not fond of. The Glenturret 12 has replaced Edradour 12 as my go to deep dark sherried scotch. Also, the Glenturret 10 Peated has become my favorite peat/sherry combo….well, second to the Springbank 15.
@whiskyguidedog6558Ай бұрын
Great work as always. I do find the Glen Turret extremely okey, but agree, both are excellent!

Nice one, the Glenturret 12yr from 2020 is probably the best 12yr I’ve ever had - it would be neck and neck with the Springbank 12 CS for me. The 15yr from 2020 was aged in mostly second fill and is a totally different experience while also being a show stopper.
@sugarkitty4777Ай бұрын
I had a Sandend that was very subtle and not bad, but quite weak. I was disappointed and thought the only thing that saved it was the $60 price tag. The Glenturret is the exact opposite, outstanding bottle even though I don't think it's an Edradour 10 Engine Oil. Edradour 10 to me is less refined, but it's also only $55 for me in comparison. The Caledonia 12 is a top bottle, better than the Glenturret, more balanced, particularly compared to other Edradour. But Caledonia is well more expensive at more like $100. If I want a value, for me Glencadam 10 or Loch Lomond 12. Those are $45 for me and so tasty. Because of the higher price of Glenturret, unfortunately it competes with Glen Scotia 15 at that $$. As the price is going up it will be out of range.

Give it time to oxidize. That said, Emmer wheat may not fit your palate - and there’s nothing wrong with that. Take care and cheers!

Great bottles, too bad the Glenturret 12 is $104 around me. But dead on the Edredaur comparison. Great dram! I would have flipped the order of tasting. The Sandend might have been overpowered by the GT12.

Great review and great whiskeys,love Glenturret 12 , You are absolutely right. I truly enjoyed it because it absolutely reminds me of Edradour (they are a lot expensive now but Caledonia and a signatory 10-year-old are still under $100. Totally worth it) I was lucky to get it for $65 and I went back and got another one. Another one was great too but there's a huge difference. It's definitely drinks younger to me. It's a lot more sparkly, very tasty, totally worth the $55 I pay for it. But the 12-year-old got them Plum s,Figs dark fruits that remind me also of Armagnacs and older cognacs, and the spice on it Reminds me of a French bakery for some reason. Thank you for another great review.

Thanks for your reviews. Very helpful. I personally really like the Glenturret 12 especially for its funk. But, as you said, not everyone likes that.

I haven't tasted the new Glenglassaugh yet, but if you were to ask me for my favorite sub-$100 Standard Malts (unpeated/unfinished), they would be... Craigellachie 13 Bunnahabhain 12 Glencadam 15 Glen Scotia 15 Bunnahabhain 12 Cask Strength Glen Scotia Victoriana (if you can find it).
