A diamond (in opto or gold orbit should last you a loooong time. I use mine to turn right as I'm RHBH and don't throw FH with any real power/accuracy. #5... I think spiked shoes are the way to go. Not only do you get to pay $250 for the shoes but you also get to buy a couple packs of spikes a year for $25. Then to top it off when you get new shoes the new spike mounting system will be different. So your new old spikes are garbage. Its perfect!
