My instructions are for the model pictured. There are many different models. Do you have this model? Did you get the basket out? If you got the basket out, lube the bottom as in the video and place the bottom section in a vice. Leave it raised enough to turn the basket backwards and forward. They can freeze up pretty good you may have to turn it a bit. Hope this helps.

Holy cow. I know I’m an idiot for doing this but I put a tiny Phillip bit that would go on a chuck or in a bit holder in there and it was jammed in there good. I couldn’t even pry under it. So what I did was, hear me out, I used a hammer to bang down the tip some, I used some pliers and was able to get a grip on it and pull it out. Thanks for the video my good sir. Now hopefully I can get it reassembled and never make that mistake again

Should the bottom of the agitator be completely tight down?? Mine keeps coming loose from the bottom after every load but all the components seem fine?
@watermitigationadvice4385
@watermitigationadvice4385 2 ай бұрын
The agitator on the very top has a dust cove. Under that dust cover is a bolt which may have come loose. Turns clockwise (to the right) to tighten. There are 2 plastic tabs that hold the bottom section on to the top section of the agitator, they may be worn or broken. Check top bolt first. Larry

@@ashleysullivan9659 Sorry have not answered sooner I have just recently got out of the hospital. If the bolt has to be tightened it maybe the bolts threads have worn out. I would start with changing the bolt and any washers or lock washers first. This would be the cheaper fix if the bolt is bad. You can also try a thread lock product. Also inspect the plastic thread the the bolt screws into. Hope this helps Larry

At the very bottom of the motor there is a cover. Behind the cover is a pulley with a small belt. there is an activator switch that controls the spluth behind the pulley. check the activator switch .it moves the parts up and down behind the pulley. The parts have teeth that grip to engage the agitator. Problem should be in one of these components

My daughter has a 1970s frying pan and it’s kind of retro and she likes it. However, the handle comes loose all the time. And when I say all the time, I mean, she comes home from college for a long weekend, uses it two or three times and it’s loose. I was going to use Loctite blue, which is removable thread sealer. I also thought about using Red which is permanent thread sealer, but to remove it you have to heat it up. Since the frying pan gets a lot of heat, the red thread locker will probably just be loose anyway. I never heard of using RTV gasket maker however, the Black is pretty good. The only thing that threw me was when you said to use blue over the black. The blue RTV is for water applications only, basically for water pumps. Everything else I use our RTV red or black for oil pans, valve covers etc. so I don’t even bother using blue at all. I’ll give your method a try using the black and I’ll let you know here how it worked. I just don’t see how it would work. It’s just a gasket maker, not an adhesive. You’d probably be better off using JB Weld epoxy, maybe I’ll try that instead. Either way, I’ll come back here and post what worked, if anything. Thanks for the video. Now you have at least one real long comment!!
@watermitigationadvice4385

The handle should not be subjected to any oil. Just hot water at washing. I was not using it as a glue just to help take any slop out of the threads. What also may work is Permatex gasket cement. I applied to much on a valve cover and it got on the bolt. After being heated, that bolt would not move. It snapped and had to be drilled out.

If you have removed the spring clip, at times the bit may fight back a bit. Hold the bit tight with vise grips and tap lightly. You can also try getting a small screw driver and poke at the 2 small bearings. DO NOT DROP THEM. at times they get jammed up in there. Hope this helps

Is the bit a short bit? is that why you can't grab it? This is a long shot but if it is a short bit, Phillips or straight head. Clean tip real well, apply a good super glue and stick a screw with the same head on to it and hold firmly until dry. then try to wiggle it gently pulling outward lightly. With some luck it may work.

ya I was in a hurry, put a short bit into it like a moron and immediately recognized the problem i faced. However I have an update for you. I did finally get it out. So my Ryobi impact drill after removing the C lock ring, then the washer and spring come out, the Bit itself was keeping the two bearings from coming out. One thing I tried and failed at was using the ryobi dremmel to cut notches into both sides of the bit, however i ran out of cutting discs. LUCKILY i found a brand new one laying in most random spot in my house. So after putting that on my dremmel I cut two notches into each side of the bit, then using a pair of tiny wire cutter type of plyers but the ones that are meant from grabbing from the head of a screw. Then yanked it right out (oh after I had to use that cutting disc to cut down the outside wall of the ryobi slider that holds the bits. (the wall that is at thefront of the drill that must be a mm long or a cm long or something. Then it came out and I put it all back together after learning a valuable lesson. Thanks for the information and keeping up with my replies bro. I really appreciate you trying to help me. It means the world. @@watermitigationadvice4385

If you are dealing with flat paint it may or may not give you a problem. Over a long period of time the walls may have been exposed to dampness or moisture in the air. This can happen if the windows were open on a wet day. In kitchens, steam from cooking, bathroom steam from showers. Start with a dry chemical sponge on flat paint surfaces, if it wipes clean you should be OK. Hope this helps. Larry

I found it is easier to remove cover over the pump and and insert the hose there. Once you drop the filler neck out of the hole and into the trunk put the cap back on to prevent fumes escaping. ALWAYS USE CAUTION....NO ELECTRICAL TOOLS - NO SMOKING - NO SPARKS - NO HEAT. Fumes are worst than the gas.

Good Question, alcohol can help aid the drying process of small amounts of water. However the amount of water that causes damage in your drywall is soaked into the drywall and wood and would require huge amounts of alcohol to soak in deep enough to be effective. The alcohol in that amount would contribute to more damages. Alcohol is also highly flammable, if it cause a short in any electrical connections in the wall it may start a fire.
