WD40 is great on plastics. Petroleum product on a petroleum product (Plastics ). Shines up the plastic too .

@@magmagold2969 If there's no signs of life at all, then it might be time for a new servo :-/ If you plug it into channel 1 instead, you can see if it moves with the trigger. If it does, then it's likely the receiver that's the problem.

In real cars they measure by P (pitch). Is this the same as T ?

Nope, T refers to number of teeth on the gear. Pitch is still used here, usually in "mod" or "dp", e.g. 0.8mod and 48dp.

My problem is that my steering only works if you lift the car off the ground or the car is in motion. When it’s at a standstill, it only turns right and can’t turn left. Any ideas?

Either the servo saver is too loose, something is broken in the rack, or the gears are slipping :-/

I have one of these with the stock electronics ( but running on a FlySky FS-GT3B 2.4Ghz 3ch Radio) and it has a bad pull the left. I have tried replacing all of the drivetrain but its still realy bad. I have also tried adjusting the set steering servo position.

Is it only at full throttle launches, or everywhere? High powered 2wd cars with no gyro can be tough to full-throttle launch in a straight line. Instead, try easing on the throttle :-)

In the programming menu, it's the first option. Set it to 2 beeps :-) There's a table of all the programmable items in the instructions.

You can, but most polycarbonate paint dries matt/a bit splotchy, and it'll scratch off when you hit something.

I don't know much about rc cars, but I just got a disney store rc buggy from toy story and I was wondering if I can connect it with a "generic" control as long as it has the same frequency as this one, or do I really need to get the original?

If you can find one with the right frequency it might work, but there's no guarantee - 27 or 40MHz is probably a good place to start.

Could you please tell everyone where you buy the stick on material to cover the windows while spray painting underneath the body? I stupidly got a body when I bought my first car, and it looks great with the nice black paint job. The problem??? WAH!! I painted the windows black as well! I can live with it, but would like to know where you obtained the stick on material for the windows?

The Window masks usually come with the body. If not, you can use masking tape :-)

13kg/cm means that when attached 1 cm from the centre of the output spline, the servo can lift 13kg of weight. The freedom units are the same - e.g. 180.5 oz/in means the servo can lift 180oz of weight when attached 1 inch from the centre of the output spline.

If that’s the first time you’ve used an airbrush, that’s brilliant mate. I’m about to start using mine. I’ve got a cheap handheld jobbie of Amazon as I really want to learn how to airbrush but don’t want to go all out and get a ‘proper’ airbrush kit as I will only be using it in this hobby. Kaking myself as it took me ages to get reasonably good at using spray cans 🤦♂️🤦♂️😂

Technically yes, but it's likely to be a big current draw on the ESC. You'd need very low power motors, or an ESC actually designed to handle it.

If the steering rack still moves smoothly, it sounds like you stripped a gear in the servo :-/

That ESC uses the exact same programming protocol as in the video. If it no longer has the set key, you'll need a compatible program card.
