Where do you store your spare wheel/tire assembly ? Under the RV? or inside somewhere?
@gwojda1 Жыл бұрын
The spare tire fits perfectly under the belly of the RV in the rear section, just past the fuel tank. There is actually a threaded rod just for that purpose, but Ford cheapened out and failed to include a spare. You will have to buy a nut and some sort of metal plate to hold the spare in place, but it fits like a glove.

What is average MPG for you RV?
@gwojda1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, my average log over 19k miles sits at 8.6mpg. I usually travel loaded with people and equipment plus a motorcycle on the back hitch, but it doesn’t get that much better even if traveling light. Also, I tend to cruise around 70-75mph, so not the most economical way. If going slower and without too much headwind, I could get it to 11mpg, but that’s really babying it and not exceeding 60mph. Possible on rural roads with light traffic and few traffic lights or stop signs.

My 22 F350 7.3 owners manual says the oil must meet WSS-M2C961-A1 standards, I couldn’t find a synthetic that meets that standard, only synthetic blend, which is what it says in the manual, had a power stroke previously and I saw a Ford video about increased wear when not using the standard they recommended, I think I’ll try that Kirkland on my car though, that’ll save some money

Warren oils produces motorcraft, Kirkland, Amazon, super tech etc. basically all the oem brands so it’s fine. Use synthetic blend or better is what that spec means.

my vegas has no room for acess. have you tried a oil change suchsion pump? great video, thanks.
@gwojda12 жыл бұрын
I do own an oil suction pump that I use on my Jaguar, but since access to the underbelly of this RV is so easy, my preference is always to drain from the bottom in case of any heavier impurities or sludge. Also, I often let the oil drain for at least 30 min to ensure that I get as much of the old stuff out as possible. Good luck!

My 2021 F-350 7.3 takes 8 quarts exactly. Personally I never 👎 follow oil like monitors I change at 5K intervals no more. Oil changes are cheap insurance!
@hientruong40742 жыл бұрын
You’re right, the oil monitor is for 10k intervals, I change mines at 50% which is 5k miles

I was very surprised it started so easily given how many new and newer cars in the neighborhood did not that day. Of course none of it would have been possible without a strong battery that held strong charge for over a week and given the low temps.
@styldsteel15 жыл бұрын
Greg Wojdalski yes very true. People find out extremely quickly find out the condition of their battery in these temps. After three years I have mine tested every year up to five years, after that I chuck it.

Sounds like piston slap to me. I have a 2005 GTO, and it very rarely makes any noise. It has to be extremely cold outside for mine to slap any. My 2000 Silverado was terrible about it in the winter time though. I found running Castrol 0W-30 in the cold months was much thinner, and made the noise go away. Id try running a thinner oil. It will help some. Either way, its nothing to worry about.
