very interesting concept, was the map generated and then you added the structure or you hand made everything? also it would be interesting adding some neutral walls around the monument to prevent players to capture the center early and then just snowball, encourage more defensive srategies. unless you love the chaos of course. also italians lost i'm sad

Ive relayed your question to the map creator. As far as I know (I think he says that during the cast as well) he generated the map "Steppe" and then changed it massively.

In this version the units train too fast and can cause lag and also harder to control your army. Now it is alot more balanced. And aton more changes like Hints and other stuff. This game was played on 2.1 right now its already 5.8 and its regularly being updated.

I think over all elos they always had a low winrate, as most players struggle with the Chinese start. And I do feel like they are falling a bit out of fashion on the top level now as well - after indeed being S-Tier there on Arabia like...forever - because the meta has shifted to early timings.

Great Question, really goes to the heart of the matchup in my opinion. I think the following: Heavy Scorp works usually great vs. Elephants indeed - however Heavy Scorp rely on their bonus damage against Elephants to do significant damage and the way I felt while playing against Bengalis so far is that the Bengali civ bonus of reducing bonus damage is very good against scorps and kind of rules them out as an effective counter. Halberdier frontline plus mass Onagers behind is usually the only effective way of dealing with mass Bengali elephant units. You will need to attack ground with multiple onagers on the same spot, that usually - even with no SO - takes them out effectively.

@@phoqueoeuf It certainly is on the tougher side. Although I think I remember some games from DM World Cup 5 where the Mayan could rush hard, eventually wear down the Bengali push with siege and deny the eco of the Bengali to win in the end.

Just let you know that UL_King_Arthur from Peru is not a michi or oasis Player, hes a very old player, coming from old school of age on zone era. He usually plays on Voobly, and hes 1800-1900K in 1vs1 GA map. He ocasionally plays on DE. Hes stronger in AOC than in DE, thats the reason his number of games in steam are low comparing to experts dmers in DE. Thanks for the video and comments
