Wow this brings back many many memories. Listening to Dave Glover he was a wonderful trumpet player. 52 years ago next week I left Ireland to meet up with my husband ( sadly now deceased) who had came out to Canada to play with Dave Glover and Muriel Day. Playing in a Showband in Ireland was nothing like playing from coast to coast in Canada.

Omagh ❤️ I am from England, but Omagh is where my dad was from. My family are from. So had many years growing up heading over there to visit my cousins, uncles, aunt and Granny. Granda I do remember but he was in a care home as long as I can remember. But anywho, I remember meeting Brain at Granny's wake. He was a kind man.

I grew up in south Belfast, born in 1952. When listening to this reminds me of a 12th of July morning when I was about 10 years old. Our next door neighbors were a mixed marriage RC & PROD their next door neighbor was the master of his Orange Lodge so the kick the Pope band and the lodge members formed outside his house that morning to march to the local Orange Hall. We all as friends and neighbors celebrated that and wished them well in respect of our similarities and differences. What went so wrong, because as working folks regardless of what church we did or didn't go to most of us were respectful of each other.
