This happened to my 545i 05 but my battery was disconnected when it happened and the battery is in the damn trunk 🤦♂️

I had to pay $160 for locksmith to open it the dumb seats don’t open

Use the key to open the trunk. What you might need to do is start the car, press the trunk down and try several times to open the trunk with the black key that opens the door if the car key battery is dead. Simples

Try open with the key and check the wires for the trunk are cut it happen to me fix it tape it and good to go Wires was cut because when you open trunk with the key it pull hard and pulls the wires to hard

why didn't you just lift the rear seat on the drivers side, then lift the wadding underneath it. There is a pully attached to a wire....pull that and it's like magic!! The trunk opens........stupid yankee :'D
