Im in a weird position where i see fancy cars and i really like them but then i remember all the issues with cars. Environmental issues dangerous to other people expensive. Least efficient form of transportation, pollutes the air causes traffic etc etc. it kinda kills my desire to even get interested in cars because i don’t want to support something that i know makes other peoples lives worse and even my own for living in car dependent america. Its very conflicting given i like cars but i value my morals to much to support big companies by buying some new car

Most of those Dimes I didnt even have, I probably put 12k into parts and work for that car all on credit. Then a really hard time in life struck, I was forced to move out and now had to pay rent and in California rent is atrocious. My hours at work got cut which hit me even harder. I was miraculously bailed from my situation through the help of some upper family members and I'm thankful everyday for it. But not everyone can be granted assistance from their families, listen to illegal c4 dont waste all of your money on your car.

Love the AVS2 on my 64.5 Mustang. 306 with aggressive cam, roller rockers on 289 heads worked following David Vazard plans. The AVS2 650 has will let me go to 6400 and nevers falls on its face. Great for a small cubic inch aggressive street motor. I'm sure the larger CFM AVS2's would perform just as mine has.

Wise words, Im a 20Yr old autistic dude that dosen't have my drivers license yet in New Zealand due to lack of motivation. When I was a little kid back in early 2010's I loved modded cars and wanted to do the same thing in the future, nowadays the car scene will sometimes have those people that will cause drama by making fun of/calling people out just because that person's car is bad compared to theirs, although I do tell myself that "regardless of how fast or slow the car and how nice the car looks I can still have some fun with it while learning how to do this and that." but regardless of telling myself that I still fear that I might get bullied by someone if I wanted to visit a local car meet in the future.

Even if youre in a spot to make cars your identity don't do it. I have a house paid off and 2 Miatas paid off at 24 so it'd be easy to go all in for cars but find something bigger than yourself and chase that. Peer pressure is a big thing to point out too. I was always pressured into boosting my 8th gen Si, and I’m glad I didn’t. It’s been my daily the past 8 years, no problem. Those same people pressuring me into do it switch out cars constantly or modify it beyond their budget and then complain about how expensive it is, trying to follow what everyone else is doing or impress strangers. Modify within your budget and time

At 60 it's mind boggling how so much has changed not only with car technology but the whole car scene. The street racing/ leaving car shows like a maniac and wiping out....things just seemed to be a little more laid back in the 70 to even the 90s. No doubt on the debt. I think we had it easier in the 70s-80s with the cost involved in building up a hot rod. The most important thing I dig in this video is that there's a lot more to life than just being a "car guy" and nothing else. Great video.

I have my own epa traktor yet I have been struggeling with fixing it due to fire safety shit (for welding) and the fact that it has some broken stuff on it. Yet I haven't given up and never will despite the amount of suffering I feel when I see it everyday. But honestly I don't even know what to do after I have sold it at the age of 18 and gotten myself a new car.

For me personally cars r everything im 26 rn and im mechanic and sometimes also tuner so yes cars can be ur entire world for good part of ur life im interested in cars from age of 5years

I'm 66 years old. Cars have been a huge part of my life. I've always been a car hobbyist and I raised a family working in automotive professions. This has given me many good experiences. When I die, though, I hope to be remembered for more important things. I hope to be remembered for who I was as a person, how I lived my life, how I treated others, how I faced my responsibilities. I hope that cars are never mentioned at my funeral.

I’m starting to make time energy for other hobbies and I’m getting to a point where I’m ready to put my little Del Sol SI in the garage and buy a nice practical daily driver. Chasing problems and constantly fixing your shit feels badass and heroic when you’re 20, but when you’re hitting mid-30s sometimes you just want something comfortable and reliable to take you to your friends

Nice advice for the young'uns. I'm a little different in that I didn't develop an interest in cars until my mid 20s. Remember that expensive =/= fun. My first fun car was (still have) an e36 M3 that I bought in rough shape for a song and turned into something great over 10 years. The car is a blast to drive, and I'm honestly not into it for that much money. At 39, I just got into a first gen Audi R8 that never would have happened if I was dumping all of my money into something "newer" or "faster" than the e36.
