Saw them live in a tiny danish pub = Værtshus about 15 years ago. My musoc is New Wave and EBM and Industrial but like the odd metal band like Metallica and Antrax and a dew others. But when Volbeat came to town i had to go and see what it was all about. I think we had 300-400 people in ther but it felr like way more in terms of the energy of the crowd. It was packed in front of the stage and rhw sweat was dripping. I saw this total babe with crazy red hairat rhe front of the stage. Was gonna tlak2to her after rhe gig but she was gone. I don't think she caught the whole gig. Saw her 3 times in the first hour and then she was gone... Bit i ended up sharing whiskey with Poulsen so nevermind. Great night. They kill live..

Historically, TV Sound engineers have done a terrible job with metal bands, mucking about with guitar levels, reducing them to nothing, except on a solo if you’re luckily. Iron Maiden at Dortmund was a classic example. The guitar levels were going up and down like a yo-yo! They really have no clue with metal.

It really sucks that these guys went down hill. The old stuff is so good and I can't stand to listen to them anymore, just poppy radio garbage. What a waste of an excellent band. Just Sucks!!! And Michael is such a great front man and Jon was a beast on the drums.
