Hi. I broke my pinky toe walking with slippery feet’s in sandals! I walked on a stone and my feet slides on the side and my pinky toe got broken. I am super active yoga Pilates ballet weight lifting daily and I can’t manage the immobilisation and no sport advise for broken toe ! What would say. Is it mandatory to stop fully. My foot is not swollen. But it does heart at night ? Why ?

Hello Doc, I'm having this procedure 29-may-24 it was caused by ( as yiur aware) 2nd toe amputation and Weil Osteotomy in 2008 causing imbalance from 2nd digit amputation natural lean to the pinky toe issue. Mine isn't to do with redness or any dorsal issue, just the curling under 4th causing painful calluses and pain. Always wore good shoes, bates lite chuckers for 28 years for work, wide amd high toebox sneakers or shoes as well. Great video

Not a good example. You keep putting both feet down on the floor. You also don’t say which one is weight bearing. Or non weight bearing.

What should I do if I have multiple broken toes? My middle toe, my "ring finger" toe and I think my pinky toe (not 100% on that one) are broken and have been for something like a year now (my mom told me "they cant do anything for a broken toe", so I basically left it) and now the pain is so bad I can't wear shoes or boots (or even slippers!) for more than 30 min or so. Can I buddy tape all three toes to my remaining healthy ones or would this require a different approach? Is it possible they've "healed wrong" over the past year?

Great explanation! I feel that nipping the bone spur in the bud while it is smaller will be an easier process than waiting for it to get bigger. I hate the constant throbbing. I am now trying lidocaine patches on the top of my feet, but that is only a band-aid treatment. I foresee surgery in the future.

Mate, it's all bcos the tiny small outer toe, pressing against that 4th toe causing it to bcos skinny in that place its pushing against and at the top it becomes bulbous. Lengthening and making longer thr outermost tiny small toe would be thr thing to do as well as shavibg down the bulbous part of the 4th toe.

I had hallux varus after a bunionectomy in 1996. It never caused me pain, but gradually over the years my big toe became entirely dislocated and arthritic and I began to supinate more and more. It was the supination that caused me shin and hip pain. I recently saw a doctor and he ended up completely replacing my joint. Looking back now, it seems like it would've been effective to do these exercises and maybe tape my foot or learn how to walk appropriately to prevent the varus.

He literally said shoes being to tight is the cause and the solution is surgery? How about wear healthy shoes instead of cramming your feet into those "cute" fill in the blank

I wear wide shoes and because my feet are not wide other than in the toe box, I can't walk properly and my knees and ankles suffer. My pinky toes have the bony prominences and I walk on the sides of them, but they don't curl under the next toes.
@gymfloor169 Жыл бұрын
@@elizabethkettle2323 don't buy wide shoes, get Minimalist or barefoot style shoes. After decades of combat boots, I switched to Minimalist zero drop boots for work, vibrant five fingers almost everywhere else, and walking barefoot around the house. All my back pain and knee pain is alleviated and my feet are healthier than ever

FINDINGS: There is truncation and remodeling of the distal aspect of the proximal phalanx of the second toe with dorsal fracture line and remodeled appearance of the articulating surface with a small distal fragment. The PIP joint is flexed with slight dorsal subluxation of the fractured proximal phalanx. The base of the middle phalanx is blunted with susaicion for healing nondisplaced fracture best seen axially. The toe is slightly laterally deviated. Can someone explain what this mean ? This was my mri result

Why?
@larshaas2658 Жыл бұрын
@@wuforever if you are asking why you clearly haven't looked far into this, as the doctor says you will be in regular shoes in 2 weeks. But ever cared to wonder what even causes this in the first place? That's right: regular shoes. This is because they force your toes to be curled like this because there isn't enough space. If you're young enough it might only have caused tight tendons and maybe some other stuff, if you're old it might already be permanent. This surgery is permanent and at most a Band aid solution.

I'm hoping your toe has mended now after a year? How long did it take to heal? i've broken so many toes over the years. Call me clumsy. Some hurt a bit, other hurt a lot. Most didn't need crutches to walk but one break did - it was absolute agony. I'm currently nursing two broken bones in the same toe and I dont need crutches but its a bad one for pain.
