Did my first one this year and really enjoyed it - was really happy (and quite surprised) with my time and will definitely be doing it again. Should have started further up, though... I was in green wave and went past lots of people who were in pink... ?

The assembly waves and getting to the start need to be reversed BACK to what it was in 2023. This year was not impressive,a total mess.`

Loved the run, but not the 10x increased parking charges just for Great North Run day. South Shields council taking the Mickey Mouse out of charity raisers.

I ran the Great North Run in 2003 it’s the best half marathon in world. Every runner must do the Great North Run.
