My husband and I came from Montana several years ago and had a chance to take in the Oaks. It is still a wonderful memory for me.

A public park that needs a commercial because people might forget how great it is, right? They're so afraid that people won't visit that park any longer because New Orleans is a cesspool of crime and corruption, and more and more people are staying away. And rightly so.

City Park.............when have crime been committed in this park. If you hate this city, go move in another major city............see if things are any different there............smh

One of the largest sources of income generated in city park today was not even in the video. The Golf Course. A lot of hard work and money went into getting us 1 of the 3 golf courses lost during katrina. (would have been 4, but the south course had just closed prior to the flood) Can't wait for the approval and construction on the the new course(s).

The boating, the museum, the amusement park & the mini-train, Christmas in the Oaks, those big conrete lions, feeding bread to the ducks in the lagoons, the varied & omni-present birds and all those GORGEOUS trees - City Park has given us so many lifelong memories of good & happy times. I drive thru it on the way to work just because I CAN - not because it's convenient, but because it's just really beautiful. Nice vid!!
