I’ve got my own story of a celeb doing a random act of kindness for me (I’m telling this story because, the more I hear this clip, the more I realize how fortunate I was in my own story). A few months ago, I went to a nearby comic con to meet Claudia Wells (Jennifer Parker in the first Back to the Future film). I only had enough money for a photo opp, but I bought my DVD copy of the trilogy with me in the hopes that she would hold it up for me in our photo. Not only did she end up signing my DVD copy for free, she even threw in for free a signed copy of the blue Save the Clocktower flyer. The best part was she knew ahead of time that my anxiety level was through the roof (I’m someone on the autism spectrum; I was scared of doing something embarrassing in front of her). I bring this up because, after the photo, she turned to me and asked, “Is it okay if I give you a hug?” Because of how nervous I was, it took a few seconds for the word “Okay” to finally come out of my mouth. I ended up crying as I walked away from the comic con! For my first time meeting a cast member from the BTTF trilogy, she really exceeded my expectations of what was going to happen! (1) Two autographed items that I couldn’t afford, I got at no cost, and (2) I got a hug from “Jennifer Parker!”
