More please. I am thinking of trying out Rust myself, but love Scala too much to put the time in if it's not as powerful in terms of high level features
@Tusanguchito7 ай бұрын
+1 im in the same path. And after getting comfy with typelevel stack, everything outside of fs2 sucks
@BulentBasaran2 ай бұрын
I am not experienced in Rust, but the guiding principle of Rust seems to be safety for system level (meaning low level, OS level) tasks with performance to match c and c++. Scala and Spark would win in distributed performance. So, pick your hammer accordingly.

Thank you for being honest about the hard truth about working in tech, Michele - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gHnHkJuYe9CIapIsi=mAQmLx0P-zIsQWk_&t=1442 - I also 100% agree with the fact that there is no substitute for doing the work and being curious. I still believe open source is an amazing vehicle for learning everything related to working in the technology space. It covers everything from the technical aspects to the soft skills including project management and communication skills.

So I just found this through KZbin recommendations and I truly believe the points you made about devrel, thanks for your great insights, developers now just don't have that self encouragement they used to, and this is something i always cover in my channel for personal encouragement and building hope. I'll be leaving a sub and like bye.

After 10 years being a filmmaker, I'm in the midst of a career pivot into development myself, and conversations like these are so inspiring to me to keep going.
