What if you have an older version that does not a pivot bar, etc. that allows a simple slip in reattachment. I have one from 1996.

Wood, brick and stucco siding lasts indefinitely if installed properly, since all 3 can be patched if damaged or degraded in one area. I've seen vinyl last over 40 years in ideal conditions, but it gets destroyed in very sunny climates and can be almost impossible to keep clean in humid areas.

Wake up around 7am, dry my windows at 7:30

Put neat fairy liquid on them with a cloth and let it dry.

Charcoal and dehumidifier bags can help. Cleaning windows with shaving cream has a rain x effect.

To stop condensation forming on the glass along the bottom of the window, dry the glass with a cloth or paper towel, then smear the affected area with washing up liquid ( a little) applied using a cloth or paper towel. It will look foggy at first, but will go clear once it has dried in. No more wet windows in the morning.

If condensation is limited to a couple of inches of moisture along the bottom of your windows in the morning, dry the moisture off with a sponge or cloth. Then put some washing up liquid on a cloth or paper towel and wipe the liquid onto the glass along the bottom of the window. Cover an area slightly bigger than where your condensation usually appears. It will look like smears on the glass when first applied, but as it dries it looks clear. Moisture will not form on the glass as the washing up liquid forms a barrier. It really does work. You only need a small amount of liquid, just enough to see it on the glass before it dries.

Storm windows over double pane glass and we still get condensation, your house is too well sealed. Dehumidifiers can't keep up. Opening up windows and doors in the Winter is an invitation for your Heater to perk up and start running. if you cool your house too much, water will condense on glass. no home is immune from condensation
