This is a confusing way of showing it - I don't get what is the speed drawing and what is the thing you're showing us - just have one screen, I don't get why you'd have two

I felt that mixing vectors with rasters together is a great idea and I’ve done it several times using Affinity Designer. I enjoyed using it to create some great concept artwork of my personal projects. But someone told me that combining rasters with vectors is a noob mistake and a waste of time and suggest me to stick with using only Photoshop for concept art at a fast pace. Do you agree with that statement?

i followed very closely step by step but when i try to add more than one pixel layer (new colors), but it goes grey and doesnt work, wondering if there is a set up issue ?

Is there any option to know the luminosity of the image at the point where we place the cursor? something like the info tool in Photoshop. I take pictures with a white background and I can't find a way to know if a sector of my image has the value 255-255-255. I use Affinity Photo on an Ipad. Thank you.

very cool

One thing to be careful of. Vector layers can be scaled to any size without resolution issues, pixel layers cannot. If you scaled it up large, the pixels would look like blocks

great video! I sent this to my brother who is learning affinity. Btw when you are describing how group objects do not subract properly there is an easy fix. Just "add' the objects together instead of grouping and you can use them to subtract from any object all at once. It will make creating shapes way quicker.

Hi, can you copy a layer into another file in infinity photo for ipad? What i was doing is making select all in a layer, open the other file and copy, but i wonder if there's another way to copy the whole layer and all their attributes to another file? Thx

Noob question: Does pixel persona still keeps it vectorized or it's rasterized?

There's really nothing else like it. I agree with the previous comment, there should be a vector eraser (perhaps mask-hide to AI recalculate-and-replot-based), but really, there are so many workarounds to that, it's not necessary.

So are we saying the Pixel Persona in Affinity Designer is (unlike in Affinity Photo) subservient and kind of complimentary to the main vector approach. That does make sense. Would you say this is how Serif intended it. And could you share some thoughts on real world uses for this kind of approach. Thanks for a superb video!
