I thought I'd never see this again. I watched this when I wasn't aware my eyesight was that bad. (I thought it was normal.) The only thing I remembered was the blurry people were gliding and the prince had a huge blurry mop on his head.

I think Sarah's layback was better than either Sasha's or Nikodinov's, but she never got much credit for it. Sarah also had the best inside edge camel spin.

Shizuka Arakawa, one of the only skaters whose flip was actually a lip. I videotaped this performance back in the day and watched it so many times, but have since become disenchanted realizing that both of her triple triples were SUPER under-rotated. Can’t really watch it with quite the same joy anymore.

One thing about Jenny Kirk’s skate is that even after three falls, she kept going for every single jump. Most skaters, after having one or two falls, would be popping and doubling everything. That shows that she really did have a lot of fight in her.

Interesting to hear Peggy use the word “terrible” several times in describing the skating! She was usually the voice of positivity while Dick was the critic.

What competition is Oksana skating in attractive 42:02? She did both her Bach and Mariah Carey programs. I'm one of her biggest fans and have no idea. The clips have never been uploaded to the internet.

I was in the audience for this competition - the date was Dec 11, 1993 and I still have my ticket! It was my first time seeing figure skating live. I was pregnant with my daughter, who ended up being my companion to countless future shows and competitions. Thanks for posting this video! It's bringing back very good memories! ❤

Michelle did more triples in her free skate, and there were no awkward landings. Idina should not have gotten such high technical marks.

seems like the World Championships that followed directly after the Olympics was always a random mess lol nobody skated well. I don't understand why they held World Championships so soon after the Olympics, nobody cared about them it seems and most of the olympic medals never bothered to show up

It's amazing that there was actually comment that she should skate to something like Tosca, after what she has been through. Irina only had to prove to herself that she wanted to skate and could again. Good on her.

The judges rarely rewarded the youngest skaters, save for Tara Lipinski in 1998. They felt skaters kind of had to pay their dues before they would be awarded the marks they really deserved (IMO). Michelle got similar scores up through 1995 despite her abilities - far below what I feel she should have gotten.

Wow, this really showcases how dangerous Michelle Kwan was in competition...she single handedly prevented the golden slam for many lol. Nathan Chen became our new Michelle. So dominant. Peggy always picking Sasha to win lol. I loved Sasha, but after Tarasova said she was less than puritan in her training, I stopped feeling bad for her. Gotta work hard ya know!

Such a beautiful remembrance! Katia and Sergi were the most beautiful skaters! They were always my favorite pair skaters. There was no one like them, the best. How did Hughes not get 2nd overall for this performance? Sasha was wonderful but with her 6 triples (some of them imperfectly landed) to Sarah's 7 smoothly landed triples, I'm not sure how Sasha's strengths on other elements were that much better than Hughes' strengths. Equal on the spins, yes better for Sasha on the spirals and footwork but not dramatically so. I would say 5.8/5.8 for Hughes and 5.6/5.9 for Cohen.

Bit of funny moment from two of the Fab-5 33:45 *(John putting his hands beneath the "water")* 33:47 Jai: **Kneeling down in gay panic** Carson: *Oh, Lord! Hey, don't do that in there! You're gonna ruin the water!* It wouldn't be a Queer Eye OG episode without Carson's classic humor. 😂😂
