As heard on Thursdays at 8:30pm(et). However, WRCA-AM in New York did *NOT* schedule the program, becuase they substituted a local music and interview show, "MEET ME AT KAY'S", featuring singer Kay Armen and comedian Louis Nye. WRCA could sell time to local advertisers during that program, while they couldn't durng "THE SIX SHOOTER" {which was sustaining}.....and in the waning days of prime-time network radio, they wanted to attract as many advertisers as they could- even if they had to pre-empt network shows that weren't doing so well to do it [that's one reason NBC cancelled "THE SIX SHOOTER" in June 1954, as other affiliates were doing the same thing].

The final episode of the series, as heard on Thursdays at 8:30pm(et). However, WRCA-AM in New York did *NOT* schedule this episode, as they presented am hour-long local music and interview program, "MEET ME AT KAY'S" (featuring pop singer Kay Armen and comedian Louis Nye), because they were able to sell THAT show to local advertisers and make more money than they could from carrying "THE SIX SHOOTER" {which was sustaining}, and the program that followed it (the short-lived "JASON AND THE GOLDEN FLEECE"). Wihtout a regular sponsor, NBC couldn't afford to keep Jimmy on the air, and ended the series.

Wow, that whole intro thing really blows the vibe. Just sayin' - Like I immediately went to the 2-3 other versions of this on youtube. I love that you're posting this but just giving you some constructive criticism. If someone is looking for 40's radio, they don't want to hear a booming obnoxious intro/advertisement.
