CORDOVA MARKET 301 Rolph St, San Francisco, CA 94112 I have only been to this store like a few times ever since I first moved into the neighborhood, but on the rare occasions that I have shopped here my experience has been mostly OK. The people who work here seem pretty cool and chill. The staff is kinda diverse; consisting of Asians, Arabs, Jews, and Mexicans. They are all friendly and helpful. No problems at all with these folks. I have never been racially profiled nor followed around like a criminal. Nobody ever gave me any suspicious looks or anything like that. And it's got nothing to do with my race nor my dress code, it's just simply because I always try to be nice/friendly/polite to others and say "HI" to everyone. A little respect goes a long way. I just quickly buy a few items and then GTFO. No drama needed here, or anywhere. Their selection of produce is decent, and the prices are pretty normal/typical of ANY other convenience store located in ANY part of ANY neighborhood in San Francisco. This store is located in a prime part of the residential neighborhood where many people reside, so there's bound to be a few things or items that you might be needing occasionally OR eventually. But what really annoys me the most, is that I can see a whole buncha people knockin' on them just for their prices alone. That's not really being fair at all. Let's all be honest here; this IS the SF bay area where rent prices and operating costs are like SKY-HIGH everywhere, so of course everything is gonna be priced ACCORDINGLY. Try to keep in mind, that these people have MOUTHS to feed and BILLS to pay just like everyone else does. Taxes/insurance are HELLA expensive, and shit costs ALOT. How else are you gonna be able to survive here? If YOU ever tried to open a store here in SF, then HOW MUCH would YOU be willing to charge your customers then? This isn't the 80's anymore; nobody's gonna charge you like only $1.50 for a pint of ice cream, 75 cents for a bag of chips, or 50 cents for a can of soda... I mean, GET REAL!!! If I really wanted to save money on things like potato chips or ice cream, then I would probably consider hauling my fat ass over to Walgreens or Safeway. They aren't too far away. Or, I could just hop right on the 14 Mission and go down to Foods Co. They got some good prices too. There are PLENTY of other grocery stores and food markets all located within a 1-mile radius walking distance from this neighborhood. But if you really needed to buy in BULK, well then I guess that's what Costco is for. You have plenty of choices and options around. Go shop somewhere else if you have to. Why come in here and complain about the PRICES??? 🤔
